The multi-award winning 139'5" motor yacht Adastra was delivered to her owners in 2012 by McConaghy Boats. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of John Shuttleworth Yacht Designs Ltd..

Design & Construction
Designed around a trimaran aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 53'2" beam and a 3'8" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 139 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Launched in April 2012 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Adastra's main helm station is positioned in a raised pilothouse between the saloon and the aft deck. Two seats on a plinth provide a view over the cabin top. Overhead hatches offer ventilation and allow the helmsman to achieve a 360-degree view when docking.
To minimize the helm station's impact on the saloon, it is housed within a wineglass-shaped structure that also serves as an architectural feature. Behind this is the shaded cockpit, featuring an undulating sofa to port and a dining table to starboard. This area is integrated into the main hull's structure and the supports for the pilothouse and rigid bimini top. The covered aft deck can be enclosed with sliding side covers.
Interior Design
The interior design of Adastra is marked by a combination of light honey oak and semi-gloss white paint, accented with brushed stainless-steel trims. This choice of materials provides a soft yet striking contrast throughout the yacht.
The saloon features spacious dining and seating areas with exposed beams, creating an ambiance reminiscent of being inside a whale's ribcage, as observed by designer Inge Strøm-Petersen. Large wrap-around windows present a structural challenge but enhance the length of the exterior lines and offer superb views with an atrium-like effect inside.
The galley is located forward of the guest cabins and crew quarters. The interior design includes white woven fabrics and blue-and-white ikat fabrics collected in Indonesia, several small tables in typical Indonesian style and woven, rattan-like fretwork that serves as a backrest for the sofa and dining bench, as well as a balustrade for the central staircase.
Accommodation
Adastra offers accommodation for up to nine guests and six crew members. The master suite, located aft and accessible from the deck saloon, spans the full beam of the yacht in a section of the main hull that flares slightly above the waterline. This space provides an exclusive retreat for the primary guests, featuring light honey oak and semi-gloss white paint with brushed stainless-steel trims. The decor includes white woven fabrics and blue-and-white ikat textiles sourced from Indonesia.
Forward of the engine room are the guest cabins. The use of light honey oak and semi-gloss white paint continues in these cabins, complemented by the same high-quality fabrics and trims. The strategic placement of the guest cabins ensures a quiet space, away from the operational areas of the yacht.
She is also capable of carrying up to six crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience. The crew quarters and galley are situated further forward, ensuring that the service staff can efficiently manage the yacht while maintaining the privacy and comfort of the guests.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 1 x diesel Caterpillar (C18) 1,150hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Adastra is capable of reaching a top speed of 22 knots, and comfortably cruises at 17 knots. With her 8,454 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 17 knots.
