Artemis is a 109'3" motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Mangusta in 2021. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Alberto Mancini.
Design & Construction
Designed around a fast displacement composite hull and superstructure she features a 24'3" beam and a 6'3" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 228 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2019 with the keel laid under the project name 'Taormina'. This was the second yacht built on the GranSport 33 design. Launched in April 2021 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2021.
Exterior Design
Artemis is a flybridge yacht with a sporty exterior design by Alberto Mancini, with a pristine white exterior and black trim. The raked bow rounds as it transitions to the foredeck and stylish fairlead openings provide visual interest in this area. An infinity pool, flanked by sun pads, is situated just aft of the anchoring hardware. Behind this sun lounging area, an expansive C-shaped sofa with tables offers superb forward-facing views, with a flexible bimini providing shade.
The large flybridge (56 sq/m) features extensive seating aft and an al fresco dining area under the canopy of the radar mast. Side wings of the canopy provide shelter, creating an intimate atmosphere. Built-in cabinetry caters to guest amenities, and skylights above add natural light. Access to the deck below is via a starboard-side aft staircase.
The upper deck is a versatile space with banquette seating and occasional chairs under the black flybridge deck overhang. The teak deck and chrome accents add to the stylish look.
At the stern, twin staircases lead to a bathing platform that extends to 45sq/m (484sq/ft) when the transom door is lowered. This reveals tender stowage for a 5.65m tender and two full-size jet skis.
The yacht's side profile is sleek, featuring large sections of glazing in the hull to illuminate interior spaces and a stylish grill on the quarter deck that accentuates the forward dynamic.
Interior Design
The brief for the interior design was modern, "but not trendy" and an insistence that Italian designer Alberto Mancini was involved. The interior created is a calm combination of light and dark wood veneers. Furniture is by Minotti and Fendi and finished in natural leather tones and fabrics by Loro Piana. A crisp white color scheme throughout the cabins is accented with occasional touches of blue.
The dining table is custom-sized with a Calacatta gold marble insert, and Ralph Lauren lamps add homely touches in the main saloon and the suites. Mirrors and touches of stainless steel expand spaces visually. Elm, whilst a rare and expensive wood to use as a yacht’s flooring, was the right wood to work well with the Makassar walls.
Accommodation
Artemis offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 1 VIP cabin, 2 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 4 x diesel Volvo Penta (D13-1000) 1,000hp engines running at 2400rpm, motor yacht Artemis is capable of reaching a top speed of 25 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 2,774 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 330 nautical miles. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
