Delivered in 2014, Astra is a 54.86m motor yacht built by Dutch shipyard Amels. Her interior design comes from the drawing boards of Laura Sessa Romboli, while Tim Heywood Design is responsible for her exterior design.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.5m beam and a 3.35m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 670 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the sixth yacht built on the Amels 180 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2014 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2014.
Accommodation
Astra offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 2 VIP cabins and 2 twin cabins. Additionally, there is accommodation for up to 13 members of the owners staff and security team.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M70) 16-cylinder 1,408hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Astra is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. She has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Astra also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
