Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.53m beam and a 2.44m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 492 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

Big Sky boasts a deeply raked bow and functional foredeck space, leading to a banquette where guests can enjoy forward-facing views. Walkways flank the bridge deck notable for its raked glazing and a slight overhang from the sun deck above provides shade over the navigation center. Side balconies, positioned just forward of the bridge side doors, offer visibility and exterior controls for yacht maneuvers.

The white hull is adorned with two pairs of slim vertical portholes and four smaller portholes forward. A large bank of glazing above the prominent strake floods the main deck interior with natural light and offers extensive views outside.

While ample guest space is available on the main deck aft and upper deck aft, it's the sky deck that serves as the gathering spot for guests and is true to the yacht's name. Here, a forward-facing, slightly elevated circular jacuzzi provides a perfect vantage point for relaxation and views, surrounded by sun pads. A bar nearby offers cocktails, and a further bar area and BBQ grill are situated on the starboard side under the canopy of the radar arch.

Access to the deck below is facilitated by a circular stairway to port, leading to sumptuous sofas with vibrant splashes of crimson and violet cushions, creating contrast against the natural linen palette of the sofas.

On the upper deck aft, an al fresco dining area provides relaxed seating for guests to enjoy dining outdoors. A full-length cabinet on the starboard side provides every amenity required by the crew to offer a full dining service. Ample sofas and armchairs are situated aft of this deck level, with shade options available beyond the fixed canopy of the sun deck overhang.

At the stern, a large fixed bathing platform is accessed via twin staircases protected by high-top sides. Access to amenities is via the central transom door.

Big Sky offers luxurious accommodations for up to 11 guests in five suites, featuring a sky deck with a jacuzzi, sun pads, bars, and a well-equipped gym, ensuring a blend of relaxation and entertainment.

Interior Design

In 2023, following her sale, Big Sky underwent an extensive refit, focusing on refreshing the interiors while preserving the original color palette of cream, tan, and soft browns. Leather and textured materials were tastefully incorporated into sofas, chaise lounges, and armchairs, while dashes of red were introduced through cushions to add visual interest to the light-filled spaces.

Ceiling panels maintain a plain design, while lightly patterned carpets create the illusion of expansive, clean spaces within. The large windows are left unadorned to maximize the entry of natural light, enhancing the airy ambiance throughout the interior.

Forward of the main salon, a dining area comfortably seats ten guests, with cabinetry and two wood veneer columns creating a divide between the two zones. On the upper deck, the dining area is al fresco, offering guests a refreshing dining experience surrounded by the open air. Adjacent to this space, the upper deck salon serves as a relaxed haven, featuring a spacious L-shaped sofa in soft grey with cushions in a variety of textures and blue tones, arranged around a thick silver rug. A well-stocked bar is strategically positioned to service both areas, ensuring guests' comfort and convenience.
