Cyclone is an award winning 143'4" motor yacht delivered by Tansu in 2017. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Tansu, while Diana Yacht Design is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement wood hull and superstructure she features a 27'7" beam and a 6'3" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 325 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2015. Launched in July 2017 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2017.
Exterior Design
With a length of 43.7 meters, Cyclone possesses an appearance reminiscent of naval vessels, presenting a "minesweeper look" that's been refined for a more sweeping profile and an integrated superstructure. The result is a yacht with both a distinctive character and a practical layout that maximizes outdoor living spaces while enhancing the interior volume available to guests.
Cyclone's deck design is characterized by clean lines and a functional approach. The aft deck is cleared to create an expansive entertainment space once the tenders are deployed into the water. Steps lead down to a bathing platform, which features the elegance of a grand house balustrade. The teak deck, framed by the yacht's striking DuPont grey profile, transitions effortlessly into the interior spaces.
The superstructure is designed to offer generous outdoor areas that are both open and sheltered, providing versatile environments suitable for a range of activities and social gatherings. The sunpads under the bridge windows forward are positioned for optimal relaxation and sunbathing, with available Biminis and sunshades that can be installed on carbon poles to convert the spaces for events or casual lounging.
To complement the social areas, discreet balconies flank the owner's cabin, creating a private retreat. Here, a custom-designed teak and stainless steel lounger offers a dedicated space for contemplation and enjoyment of the marine environment.
Interior Design
Drawing upon a professional and direct approach, the Cyclone superyacht by Tansu Yachts exhibits a refined interior characterized by its simplicity and warmth. The main dining saloon is an inviting space, where the focus is on a comprehensive collection of large-format coffee table books against the double-height forward wall. The reclaimed, re-engineered oak floorboards, along with subtle indirect lighting, provide the area with a welcoming atmosphere.
Daylight enhances the interior's warmth, streaming through the glass well surrounding the staircase and adding to the three-meter-high ceiling in the library section. The custom-made dining table by Rossana Orlandi, stretching 3.5 meters in length and one meter in width, features a striking combination of ash wood with its natural bark and crystal clear acrylic, reflecting the yacht's commitment to both organic materials and modern craftsmanship.
The galley is positioned directly below the dining area, connected via a dumbwaiter system that ensures efficient service. A dedicated nook, informally known as "the bus-shelter," provides a casual setting for coffee preparation, emphasizing functionality within the yacht's design.
Throughout Cyclone, the interior maintains a beach house style, yet adheres to a sophisticated aesthetic. Vintage oak floorboards serve as a consistent element, bringing continuity and warmth to each space. The white gloss paneling that adorns the walls incorporates horizontal lines and is only interrupted by necessary doors and windows, as well as select pieces such as Isamu Noguchi-designed floor lamps.
The saloon offers a clean and streamlined look, devoid of unnecessary structural elements commonly seen in yachts. This is achieved by integrating technical components into the yacht's framework, resulting in a deceptively simple aesthetic that requires complex planning and execution.
Attention to detail is evident in the choice of lighting, with a focus on indirect sources that contribute to the overall ambiance without becoming focal points themselves. The use of marine plywood for the white paneling showcases a preference for high-quality, durable materials that are finished with a lustrous paint to achieve a refined appearance.
In the dining areas, the emphasis on natural materials and light creates an environment that is both functional and conducive to social interaction. The helm and galley reflect this same ethos, prioritizing practicality and understated elegance over ornate decoration.
Accommodation
Cyclone offers sleeping quarters for up to eight guests across four well-appointed cabins.
At the heart of the guest experience is the owner's suite, which occupies the entirety of the upper deck. This space features floor-to-ceiling windows and patio doors that open onto its own deck, allowing for unobstructed views of the surroundings and an abundance of natural light. The cabin is minimally decorated with aeronautical-inspired aluminum art, maintaining the vessel's signature pared-down elegance. The suite's bathroom is both spacious and unostentatious, with marble sinks and a shower that offers panoramic vistas, ensuring the owner starts their day with an inspiring outlook.
Below deck, accommodations include a VIP cabin and two double cabins, each designed with the same attention to detail and comfort as the owner's suite. The VIP cabin is situated forward, providing guests with a restful retreat that is both inviting and serene. The double cabins are equally well-crafted, ensuring that all guests onboard Cyclone enjoy their stay in an environment that is both tranquil and stylish.
For the crew, Cyclone is capable of carrying up to five members, ensuring that every voyage is smooth and guests can relax in the knowledge that all their needs will be met with professionalism and discretion.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32) 1,900hp engines, motor yacht Cyclone is capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 6,604 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,700 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
