Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.4m beam and a 3.3m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 805 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

At night, Galaxy truly becomes a spectacle, with the underwater lights and RGBW rope lighting that illuminate her contours and create an enchanting aura. These lights not only highlight the yacht's beauty but also set the stage for unforgettable evening events under the stars.

Another striking feature is the mast. A black wrap has been applied, giving the illusion of a slimmer and more streamlined silhouette. This contemporary touch aligns perfectly with the innovative and artistic interior, creating a cohesive design narrative that flows from the inside out.

On the decks, the outdoor living spaces have stylish yet durable furniture, featuring fabrics by UK company Coco Wolf. Known for their ability to withstand the elements while maintaining the look and feel of indoor textiles, these fabrics ensure that Galaxy's exterior lounging and entertainment areas are as comfortable as they are chic. The gym, a key amenity on the yacht, has been modernized and equipped with the latest fitness technology from Technogym, catering to guests who wish to maintain their wellness routines while at sea.

The spacious hot tub deck, situated forward of the owners' suite, provides a secluded oasis for relaxation and enjoyment of the surrounding marine vistas. Here, guests can bask in the sun or indulge in a soak while taking in the panoramic views – a perfect blend of luxury and tranquility.

Beyond the remarkable design and artistry, it is the yacht's ability to offer a sanctuary of inspiration and relaxation that stands as the true testament to her transformation.

Interior Design

The main saloon, once compartmentalized by bulkheads, now unfurls into an expansive, open-plan area that seamlessly transitions from a serene yoga studio to a vibrant nightclub setting. Central to this space is the stunning agate wall, a feature retained from the yacht's previous incarnation but now recontextualized within a setting that nods to the fantastical world of Pandora from the film "Avatar." Artwork by Adam Cole, who collaborated with Disney on the film, further imbues the space with a sense of otherworldly wonder.

In this transformative design, functionality meets fantasy. Large sofas swathed in crushed velvet not only beckon guests with their sumptuous texture, reminiscent of gentle ocean waves, but also cleverly incorporate concealed storage solutions. The imaginative use of wrap technology has allowed for the application of custom artwork to the saloon walls, while a mirrored ceiling crafted from the same material amplifies the sense of boundless space.

The Galaxy's dining realms have been reconceptualized with a singular dining space residing on the bridge deck, near the Venus-themed VIP suite. The main dining table, a centerpiece of the upper saloon, is an art piece in itself, featuring straw marquetry that suggests a celestial black hole. Above, a quartz chandelier casts ethereal light, harmonizing with the artwork by Camille Hannah that captures the shifting hues of sky and sea.

Accommodation

Galaxy welcomes up to twelve guests within six guest cabins that ensure a restful and private retreat for each individual on board. The yacht's accommodation layout includes an owner's suite and four additional guest cabins, all named after planets, resonating with the vessel's celestial theme. Each cabin is a unique abode, crafted with attention to detail and themed to reflect the characteristics of the respective planets they represent.

The owner's split-level suite is a split-level suite is adorned with darker tones and a blend of textures that amplify the feeling of spaciousness and create an atmosphere of sumptuous glamour. At the heart of this full-beam haven lies an emperor-size bed, set under a ceiling that evokes the night sky, dotted with galaxies. The suite also features a panoramic snug in rich, earthy tones – a secluded nook that has become the owner's favorite spot on board. The room's dark color palette, contrary to traditional design conventions, enhances the sense of space, making the suite feel even more expansive and regal.

Moving to the guest accommodations on the lower deck, the four cabins are thoughtfully designed, each echoing the colors and themes associated with their namesake planets. From the liquid bronze of Saturn to the vibrant reds of Mars, these cabins offer guests not only a place to rest but an immersive experience. The use of high-quality materials and bespoke furniture ensures that comfort is never compromised, despite the strong thematic elements.

Despite the extensive design overhaul, the designers have placed a strong emphasis on sustainability by retaining as much of the original structure and materials as possible. This approach not only aligns with contemporary values but also highlights the versatility and timeless craftsmanship of the original Benetti construction.

For the crew, Galaxy ensures that those who work tirelessly behind the scenes have their own dedicated quarters for up to 16, allowing for privacy and rest. This separation of guest and crew areas is essential in maintaining the high standard of service expected on a luxury yacht of this caliber.
