Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.6m beam and a 2.25m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a touch and go heli-pad.
Launched in June 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2020.
Exterior Design
Geco presents an audacious profile distinguished by its sleek, sinuous contours that draw inspiration from the high-performance world of sports supercars. Designer Gian Marco Campanino has skillfully translated the dynamism and aerodynamic volumes of a racing pedigree into the maritime domain, ensuring that the yacht exudes a sense of speed and elegance, even at anchor.
Geco's distinctive metallic light blue hull, a color personally chosen by the owner, is a specially matched metallic pearl automotive paint that captures the essence of the sea. The design is accentuated with bold block and gray accents, further enhancing its unique and eye-catching appearance. The yacht's low profile and sinuous lines are immediately compelling, asserting a sexy and modern aesthetic that sets Geco apart from her peers.
A key feature of Geco’s exterior is the innovative open stern beach club, which evolved from a simple swim step into a deep platform offering direct and unobstructed access to the sea. This signature architectural element is reached via a pair of cascading teak steps that descend from the open aft main deck, creating a seamless connection between the yacht and the water. Tinted glass panels set in louvre-style fashion along the hull sides provide shelter from the wind while maintaining a sense of openness.
The beach club features articulating stairs and a submersible platform discreetly extends from under the deck, allowing for effortless water entry during swimming or engaging in water sports. The area is equipped with loose furniture, a table for six, and a portable barbecue, making it an ideal spot for socializing or enjoying intimate moments by the water. Recessed lighting and a gleaming nameplate bestow a sense of glamour, even in this most relaxed setting.
Above the beach club, fixed sunpads beckon guests to bask in the sun's warmth, while an outdoor sitting area, akin to a living room, features a full wet bar shaded by an al fresco dining deck from the level above. This inversion of the traditional layout places emphasis on outdoor living, allowing guests to revel in the fresh sea air and stunning vistas.
The forward section of Geco is equally impressive, boasting a touch-and-go helipad that sits atop the tender garage. This feature not only adds to the yacht's functional capabilities but also enhances its visual appeal, contributing to the lean and purposeful silhouette. The helipad, when not in use for its primary purpose, transforms into a Moroccan-style cocktail area or a serene space for stargazing, further exemplifying the yacht’s versatility and attention to experience.
The sundeck is crowned with a beautifully integrated hardtop that shelters the spa tub and exercise equipment without detracting from the yacht's streamlined look. The hardtop, which harmonizes with the main deck's fashion plates, offers protection from the elements while ensuring an uninterrupted connection to the outdoors.
Interior Design
The interior design of Geco is a masterful blend of contemporary chic and timeless elegance, encapsulating a unique French allure intertwined with modern Italian flair.
Upon entering the main saloon, one is greeted by the harmonious contrast of bleached open-grain white oak and high-gloss macassar ebony. This unconventional pairing of classic and contemporary is a testament to Geco's avant-garde approach to design, creating an ambience that is both refined and striking. The attention to detail is evident in the selection of materials, which were chosen not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their durability to accommodate charter usage, and additional storage has been incorporated seamlessly into the design.
The interior color palette is warm, reflecting a dichotomy that resonates with the yacht's overall ethos of luxury meeting sport. Dark walnut accents grace the light oak planks, while in other areas, the reverse is true, creating visual depth and interest. Milled white oak panels adorn the walls, alternating with panels upholstered in precious fabrics or 3D printed leather, further enhancing the tactile and visual experience.
Geco's main saloon, boasting curved and sliding floor-to-ceiling glass walls, blurs the distinction between indoor opulence and the natural splendor of the sea, almost extending the luxurious interior into the surrounding marine landscape. The dining room, an unusual placement off the main salon, is enveloped in an elegant pod-like structure that offers guests an intimate and exclusive dining experience.
The lead actor in the interior design narrative is the exquisite Calacatta Gold marble, typical of the Tuscany region close to the shipyard. This stunning natural stone is complemented by accent colors of navy blue and cognac orange, with soft bronze hardware providing a sophisticated finishing touch.
Accommodation
Geco offers sumptuous lodging for up to twelve guests across its six beautifully appointed cabins, with a layout that includes two full-beam suites, ensuring ample space and privacy.
The master suite is located on the main deck and offers its occupants commanding views and an abundance of natural light. The suite is a sanctuary of calm with elegant fittings, featuring fine materials and a color palette that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The adjoining lavish bathroom, separated by a cleverly designed mirror panel with a concealed TV, is equally impressive, with exquisite marble finishes that resonate with the yacht's overall theme of understated luxury.
Below deck, the full-beam VIP cabin affords guests a space that rivals the master suite in comfort and style. This expansive stateroom is designed to pamper its occupants, providing a serene retreat after a day of sun and sea. The additional guest cabins are no less luxurious, each offering a unique ambiance, tailored finishes, and the highest standards of comfort.
Geco's crew quarters for up to 13 ensure the crew's well-being, allowing them to maintain the highest levels of service that a yacht of this caliber demands. The crew accommodations facilitate a professional environment where efficiency and rest can coexist, ensuring that the crew is always prepared to attend to the guests' needs.
