The 38m motor yacht Indigo Star I was delivered to her owners in 1995 by Siar & Moschini. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Andrea Bacigalupo, while Giorgio Vafiadis is responsible for her interior design.

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.7m beam and a 2.7m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 310 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Indigo Star I's tri-deck structure maximizes outdoor living spaces, creating ample opportunities for relaxation and entertainment. The upper deck features a large seating area and dining table that can accommodate up to 10 guests, suitable for both casual gatherings and formal dining. A retractable awning provides optional shade, enhancing comfort for prolonged enjoyment of the open-air environment. Indigo Star I is engineered to deliver a robust performance on the water, equipped with powerful twin diesel MTU (12V396TE94) 2,285hp engines that enable her to reach a top speed of 17.5 knots and comfortably cruise at 14 knots. With her 40,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,224 nautical miles at 10 knots. 

To enhance onboard comfort, particularly in varying sea conditions, Indigo Star I includes stabilizers that are operational both at anchor and when underway. These stabilization systems are integral to reducing roll motion, thus increasing comfort for guests and crew alike. 

In terms of technical specifications, the yacht adheres to the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) standards, reflecting her compliance with the latest international regulations for crew welfare. This compliance underscores the yacht's commitment to maintaining high standards of operation and safety.
