Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.36m beam and a 3.05m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 909 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 2001. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Next Chapter is defined by a practical and sturdy clipper bow. The hull is finished in a navy blue Awlgrip coating, ensuring a sleek and polished look. The superstructure contrasts sharply with a clean white color, while a red boot top stripe adds a distinctive touch. Below the waterline, the hull is painted black, completing the vessel's professional and functional aesthetic.

Next Chapter's expansive exterior deck spaces offer various amenities for relaxation and entertainment. A Jacuzzi and bar are available for leisure, while sun loungers provide a comfortable area for soaking up the sun. The removable sail shade offers protection from the elements when needed. An outdoor cinema adds an additional layer of entertainment for guests.

Next Chapter also includes both covered and uncovered areas designed for alfresco dining, catering to different weather conditions and personal preferences. The beach club and large swim platform allow for immediate access to the ocean, enhancing the onboard experience.

Adjacent to the Jacuzzi, there is an enclosed, air-conditioned gym that offers impressive views, allowing guests to maintain their fitness routine while enjoying the scenery.

Next Chapter's garage is designed to accommodate a 6.6m RIB tender and various water sports equipment. Additionally, a 10m Intrepid powerboat is towed to facilitate guest transportation to shore, maintaining the yacht's aesthetic and functional integrity.

Interior Design

The main deck saloon has an asymmetric layout, enabling optimal viewing of a giant television screen that rises from a cabinet on the starboard side. Sofas on two sides of a central coffee table offer comfortable seating, while a marble-topped bar is tucked into one corner. A sideboard separates this area from the open-plan dining room, which features an elegant glass-topped oval table. Double doors provide access to the aft deck, allowing for a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The sky lounge, slightly smaller than the main deck saloon, serves as a gracious and elegant sitting room. It also provides access to the upper deck, where a beautiful oval teak table and Summit chairs are situated for alfresco dining.

Gold-finished metalwork is a recurring detail in the interior spaces. In the dining room and main deck saloon, glass-topped tables feature cast iron bases plated in distressed gold. This finish is also seen in lattice frames covering mirrored panels set into the woodwork. The joinery is consistent throughout the guest areas, featuring burr maple panels framed in cherrywood with marquetry detailing. Corners are softly rounded with fluted uprights, and a gold rope-pattern trim covers the wall-to-ceiling joints.

Accommodation

Next Chapter provides accommodation for up to 12 guests across six staterooms. The full-beam, split-level master suite is located on the main deck and includes an office area and an observation lounge, offering privacy and excellent views. The remaining guest staterooms consist of a VIP stateroom on the bridge deck, two queen staterooms, and two twin staterooms on the lower deck, one of which includes a Pullman berth.

Next Chapter also accommodates a crew of 14 members, including the captain, ensuring that all guest needs are meticulously attended to.
