African Wild Dog is a 24.98m open yacht for sale delivered by Italian shipyard Pershing in 2018. Her interior design, exterior styling and naval architecture come from the drawing boards of Pershing's in-house design team.

Design & Construction

Designed around a fast displacement GRP hull and a carbon fibre superstructure she features a 5.5m beam and a 1.4m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 108 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the twenty-first yacht built on the Pershing 82 design.

Exterior Design

African Wild Dog's superstructure complements the hull with the same silver hue, creating a cohesive look. The deck, crafted from teak, adds a touch of classic nautical tradition while ensuring durability and practicality. The boot top and below-the-waterline areas are painted in black, providing a striking contrast to the silver hull and superstructure. The hull features a spoon bow, enhancing its hydrodynamic performance.

The main aft deck is designed for alfresco dining, providing a comfortable space for guests to enjoy meals outdoors. The foredeck includes ample seating options. The sundeck offers additional lounging areas, ideal for sunbathing and casual gatherings.

African Wild Dog's garage is spacious enough to accommodate a tender or two full-size Jet Skis. This feature is complemented by a winch system, ensuring easy storage and deployment. The clean lines and functional layout of African Wild Dog's exterior make it a suitable choice for both leisure and performance on the water.

Interior Design

The interior design of the African Wild Dog is functional and straightforward, focusing on high-quality materials and practical layouts. The main salon serves as a versatile space for relaxation and entertainment. It features a bar area, ideal for social gatherings, with a practical design that allows either the owner or crew to serve guests efficiently. The bar area includes a desk, a drawer, and a refrigerator, making it a multi-purpose spot for both leisure and business activities.

In the forward section of the salon, the space is optimized for comfort and utility. The seating arrangement allows for various activities, whether it's enjoying a drink, watching TV, or playing games. The area is equipped to handle different weather conditions, providing a comfortable environment even on rainy days.

African Wild Dog can comfortably accommodate seven guests across three staterooms. The master suite, designed in a contemporary aesthetic, features darker-toned wood contrasted with a naturally toned ceiling, creating a sophisticated ambiance. The suite includes a full stand-in walk-in closet, a pop-out vanity, and a small refrigerator for convenience. The ensuite bathroom is equipped with frosted glass partitions for privacy, a separate shower stall, and a dedicated stall for the toilet.

The VIP Cabin, located forward, offers generous headroom and natural light, making it feel more expansive than typical VIP accommodations. It also features an ensuite bathroom, ensuring privacy and comfort for guests. The Guest Cabin, situated aft, features hull-side windows and ample storage space. This cabin has access to a shared day head, which includes a large shower and its own window, providing both functionality and style.

African Wild Dog is designed to accommodate three crew members. The crew area includes two cabins positioned forward and one aft, along with a dinette area just outside the cabins. The crew head is equipped with a shower and vanity.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 16-cylinder 2,638hp engines, motor yacht African Wild Dog is capable of reaching a top speed of 52 knots, and comfortably cruises at 40 knots. With her 5,950 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 310 nautical miles at 40 knots.
