Construction started in late 2010. Launched in March 2013 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2013.
Exterior Design
Ocean Paradise features a silhouette that is both modern and timeless, appealing to the discerning seeking exclusivity and elegance.
The yacht's contemporary lines and balanced proportions convey a sense of grandeur while remaining inviting. The sleek profile, with its elongated windows, allows natural light to flood the interior spaces, creating an ambiance of openness and connection to the surrounding seascape. These full-height windows not only enhance the onboard experience for guests but also contribute to the yacht's distinct aesthetic.
The masterful construction of Ocean Paradise includes a grand starboard foyer that makes a bold statement upon entry, setting the tone for the opulent experience that awaits within. The yacht's outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed to provide maximum comfort and versatility. The aft deck, for instance, is graced with ample seating and dining arrangements, perfect for alfresco meals or simply lounging while soaking in panoramic views of the ocean.
Moving up to the sundeck, guests are treated to a luxurious retreat that serves as a private terrace overlooking the sea. This exceptional space is equipped with a spa, a sun pad for basking in the sun, and a wet bar crafted entirely from carbon fiber, all designed to offer an unparalleled level of relaxation and entertainment. The sundeck's thoughtful layout ensures that guests can enjoy the outdoors with all the comforts and amenities they could desire.
Ocean Paradise also boasts a beach club at the stern, providing a seamless connection to the water. This area becomes an intimate sanctuary just above sea level, ideal for guests who wish to unwind close to the water or partake in the yacht's extensive collection of water sports equipment. The side-opening garage houses a variety of tenders and toys, ensuring adventure and fun are never far away.
Interior Design
The yacht's interior is heavily influenced by modern, Asian-inspired decor, with a focus on creating a space that feels open, airy, and timeless. The collaborative process with the owner allowed for a high degree of personalization, ensuring that Ocean Paradise stands out with a soul of its own.
Upon entering the central foyer, guests are immediately enveloped by the yacht's serene ambiance, with a Zen garden reinforcing the connection to nature and vitality. The use of light woods, creative lighting solutions, and extensive glass elements, including full-height salon windows and a skylight that bathes the outdoor dining area in natural light, contribute to the vessel's spacious and breathable atmosphere.
Attention to detail and tactile experiences are paramount in Ocean Paradise. The tactile quality of the materials is carefully considered, with surfaces such as large timber floor pieces that are worked to evoke the effects of time, offering a Zen-like experience of transience. This principle extends to contrasting materials found throughout the yacht, such as pony hide surfaces and carbon fiber furniture, which underscore the yacht's modernity without resorting to minimalism.
Throughout the yacht, the joinery features oak with both natural and colored finishes, including areas where the wood is blackened to reveal the grain, creating a tactile and visual feast. Leather upholstery is prevalent, with alligator and stained pony hide featured prominently, reminiscent of the luxurious interiors of Lamborghini vehicles. Even the bridge incorporates automotive design elements, such as a 'love seat' inspired by vintage Ferrari bench seats.
A distinct nod to the owner's personal interests is a bridge deck saloon table that doubles as a gaming console for 1980s video games, complete with hidden controls for an authentic arcade experience. The fully customized elements extend to the onyx bar in the saloon, elegantly backlit to create an ethereal glow.
Accommodation
The Ocean Paradise has been designed to host up to 12 guests in sublime sophistication. The accommodation layout comprises of six beautifully appointed cabins, all of which have been tailored to ensure privacy and relaxation in an opulent setting.
The Owner’s suite, located on the main deck, provides a sumptuous sanctuary for the yacht’s principal guests. It features a fixed balcony that can be enjoyed even while the yacht is underway, offering a private retreat with breathtaking views. The suite boasts an innovative design, with a clear glass bulkhead separating the cabin from the bathroom, which amplifies the sense of space and luxury within. The suite also includes a distinctive bath set upon small black rocks, creating an atmosphere akin to a personal spa.
On the upper deck, the VIP cabin offers an elevated experience for guests, complete with large artificial skylights that feature RGB LEDs, allowing a personalized ambiance to be created at the touch of a button. The cabin ensures a magnificent sea view, which guests can savor straight from the comfort of their bed.
The lower deck features four additional guest cabins that are ingeniously designed to maximize space and comfort. Two of these cabins are equipped with Pullman beds featuring a custom mechanism, which when deployed, appear to float, and when not in use, fold away discreetly. The thoughtful design of these cabins ensures that every inch of space is utilized to provide a serene and spacious environment for guests to unwind.
Each of these guest accommodations is a testament to the owner's directive for the yacht to possess a 'cool', contemporary, and original aesthetic, with a particular emphasis on creating spaces that ‘breathe’. The modern, Asian-influenced decor conceived by Benetti's in-house interior designer, Mauro Izzo, incorporates light woods, unorthodox lighting, and extensive use of glass for interior walls, which contributes to the airy and bright atmosphere prevalent throughout the guest spaces.
Providing for the needs of the crew, Ocean Paradise includes thoughtfully designed crew quarters that ensure comfort and privacy for the team who make the luxury experience onboard possible. The crew accommodations consist of five double cabins and one single cabin, complemented by a well-equipped crew mess and a galley that has been optimally laid out. The strategic planning of crew circulation paths and the presence of double stairways typically found on larger yachts reflect the careful consideration given to the crew's working and living conditions.
Performance & Capabilities
At the core of Ocean Paradise's power are twin Caterpillar engines, delivering robust propulsion that enables a cruising speed of 15 to 16 knots, with the potential to reach a maximum speed of 17 knots. This formidable power plant is not only efficient but also remarkably effective in managing fuel consumption, which greatly enhances the range and sustainability of the yacht’s voyages.
The yacht's range is a testament to its capability for transoceanic adventure. With an impressive range of 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots, Ocean Paradise is fully equipped to gracefully traverse the seas, connecting distant shores and allowing guests to indulge in the luxury of time and travel.
Maneuverability is a key factor in the yacht's design, especially when navigating through restricted waters. The advanced systems of command and control situated on the bridge provide the captain with unparalleled authority over the vessel. These systems, along with the yacht's responsive handling, ensure that even in the most challenging conditions, Ocean Paradise can be piloted with precision and confidence.
The yacht is further enhanced by Benetti's exclusive BEST (Benetti Exclusive Sea Technology) system, an integrated platform that manages all electronic functions aboard. This state-of-the-art technology not only streamlines operations but also enriches the user experience, blending seamlessly with onboard iPads to offer intuitive control and monitoring capabilities to the crew.
When discussing the stability of Ocean Paradise, it is important to highlight the advanced stabilization systems that are implemented to ensure a smooth and serene journey. While the specifics on stabilizers are not detailed in the supplied text, it is common for yachts of this caliber to be equipped with cutting-edge stabilization technology to reduce the rolling motion both at anchor and while cruising, thus enhancing the comfort of guests on board.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Ocean Paradise also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
