Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement composite hull and superstructure she features a 29'2" beam and a 7' draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 477 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the yacht Paladin reflects a restrained aesthetic that emphasizes functionality and understated elegance. The collaboration between the shipyard, the client, and the designer resulted in a well-proportioned vessel that avoids excessive ornamentation and common styling clichés.

Particular attention was given to the placement and size of the windows to enhance the integration of the interior and exterior spaces. The selection of the flag-blue hull color highlights the long line of the hull and the gentle curves of the superstructure. This choice of color underscores the yacht’s American aesthetic, deliberately moving away from the Euro-styled exteriors common in similar-sized vessels.

The exterior spaces, especially the aft and sun decks, are designed with usability in mind. Moveable bar stools that can be secured during bad weather, easily installed fiber canopies, and custom-made halogen "Tiki" lights enhance the functionality of these areas. The fixed aft deck dining table is adaptable, allowing for various configurations depending on the number of guests and the position of the sun.

M/Y Paladin features a skylounge, jacuzzi, and accommodations for 12 guests, ensuring comfort and a luxurious experience.

Interior Design

The interior design of the yacht Paladin, crafted by Tom Stringer Design Partners, emphasizes functionality and contemporary aesthetics. The main saloon is characterized by nearly floor-to-ceiling windows on both port and starboard sides, allowing an abundance of natural light to fill the space. To starboard, there is an L-shaped couch, complemented by a coffee table and a barrel chair. On the port side, a television screen that drops down from the ceiling serves a round table surrounded by four swivel chairs. The oval-shaped dining table, located forward, accommodates up to 10 guests and features walnut and anigre inlays. Built-in cabinetry on both port and starboard sides stores china, glassware, and silver.

The galley is designed to meet professional standards while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. It is equipped with modern amenities, including a Pacojet ice cream maker and a Cryovac sous-vide system. The workspace is naturally lit, with an expanse of teak adding warmth to the area.

The helm, or wheelhouse, is a multipurpose space that doubles as a command center and planning room. It offers superb sightlines from the twin Stidd chairs, thanks to a 180-degree panorama. A flatscreen positioned aft of the raised observation booth can be used for various shipboard media.

In the main saloon, the design incorporates large windows with low sills, providing ample natural light and a sense of added space. The seating arrangement includes four armchairs around a portside ottoman and a starboard settee. The color scheme is neutral, with subtle earth tones, and the woods used are light. Custom-made carpets inspired by traditional African patterns add a unique touch.

The skylounge, wrapped in dark Mozambique wood, features warm mocha and orange tones. It serves as an evening space for relaxation, complete with a corner bar and an Émile-Jacques Ruhlman-inspired games table. Moveable bar stools can be attached to the foot rail during bad weather for added stability.

Accommodation

Paladin offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in five well-appointed cabins. The master suite, located on the main deck, spans the full beam of the yacht, offering a spacious and serene retreat. The master bath features a dramatic wall of Onice Fantastico stone, adding a touch of elegance to the space. The suite is designed to provide a relaxing and contemporary atmosphere, with clean lines and a clutter-free environment. A concealed, ceiling-mounted, flip-down flatscreen television adds to the suite’s modern amenities without compromising on its aesthetic appeal.

Below the main deck, Paladin houses three double cabins and one twin cabin. Each double cabin is furnished with a queen-sized bed, ensuring comfort for all guests. The twin cabin offers flexibility for various guest arrangements. All cabins are equipped with entertainment centers, plasma television screens, and full ensuite bathroom facilities, providing privacy and convenience.

She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
