Design & Construction

Designed around a catamaran GRP hull and superstructure she features a 13.5m beam and a 2.2m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 140 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the 100 Sunreef Power design. Launched in August 2021 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

The exterior of the Shimali is defined by its expansive beam which allows for a significant increase in deck space. This space is effectively utilized to enhance the onboard experience with various functional zones. The aft deck boasts a hydraulic hi-lo platform capable of accommodating a seven-meter tender and doubles as a 'teak beach' for water activities.

Moving upwards, the aft cockpit area offers generous seating around a large table, perfect for al fresco dining or relaxation. To the side, an outdoor bar area, complete with sink, ice maker, and storage, serves as a convenient spot for refreshments. The exterior also includes a day head, providing added convenience for guests enjoying water activities or lounging outdoors.

The yacht's flybridge is another highlight, accessible via a staircase. Here, additional seating and a fully equipped bar with a barbecue set-up cater to social gatherings. The helm station, also located on the flybridge, is concealed under a cover when not in use. The flybridge provides ample space for guests to enjoy panoramic views, whether seated, dining, or reclining on the sunbeds.

At the foredeck, Shimali continues to impress with more seating and an expanse of sunbathing space. This area is particularly enjoyable when underway, offering a front-row seat to the cruising experience. Additionally, the yacht's side decks are notably wide, a common expectation for a catamaran design, further emphasizing the spacious nature of the vessel.

The color scheme chosen for Shimali is distinctive, featuring black with gold accents, which presents a bold yet elegant profile. Functionality merges with design in the form of a sizeable garage under the aft cockpit, housing jet skis and other water toys.

Attention to detail is evident throughout Shimali, from the choice of materials to the placement of lighting and the arrangement of furniture.

Interior Design

The main saloon is a generous expanse, divided into zones to cater to various activities. Guests can unwind in the lounging zone, complete with a retractable television for entertainment. The bar area is a central feature, surrounded by seating, with wine coolers and refrigeration integrated to facilitate social gatherings.

Materials throughout the interior are chosen for both their aesthetic appeal and durability. The bar and galley showcase surfaces that are easy to maintain, while still reflecting a refined finish. The galley is equipped with professional-grade Miele cooking appliances, a Belfast sink, and ample refrigeration, designed to cater to both casual and formal culinary requirements.

The helm station on the main deck is a comprehensive command center, featuring a full camera system for monitoring various parts of the yacht, as well as communication and navigation systems crucial for operation.

Shimali incorporates a mix of natural and artificial sources. The overhead lighting in the lounging area adds a warm ambience, complementing the natural light that floods in through the expansive windows. This thoughtful illumination design extends to the bar and dining areas, ensuring that these spaces are well-lit, enhancing both the functionality and atmosphere of each area.

The dining spaces on Shimali are designed to accommodate guests comfortably, with options for both indoor and outdoor settings. The interior dining area is adjacent to the bar, providing a cohesive space for meals and entertainment.

Accommodation

Shimali's spacious design accommodates up to 10 guests across five well-appointed cabins, ensuring comfort and privacy for all onboard.

The owner's suite, a standout feature of Shimali, is a testament to spaciousness and thoughtful design. This suite boasts generous floor space and expansive hull windows that provide stunning ocean views. The suite includes a large, comfortable bed, ample storage options, and an en-suite bathroom complete with a luxurious shower. The cabin's interior is finished with a distinctive vintage feel, creating an inviting atmosphere for the yacht's owner.

Guest accommodations on Shimali are similarly impressive. Four additional guest cabins are strategically placed within the yacht's twin hulls, each offering a spacious retreat for guests. These cabins are not compromised by the catamaran design; instead, they offer substantial floor space, large beds, and abundant storage including hanging wardrobes. Each guest cabin features its own unique en-suite bathroom, complete with a shower and finished with the same attention to detail as the rest of the yacht.

The yacht is equipped to house up to three crew members, ensuring that every voyage operates smoothly and that guests receive the highest level of service.

Performance & Capabilities

Shimali is powered by twin MAN engines, each delivering a robust 1,300 horsepower. This powerful configuration allows Shimali to achieve a commendable top speed of 18 knots. When it comes to cruising, guests aboard Shimali can anticipate a smooth and steady experience at a comfortable cruising speed of 12 knots.

Fuel capacity is a critical component of any yacht's performance capabilities, and Shimali is equipped with substantial 28,000-litre fuel tanks. This generous fuel storage enables Shimali an extensive cruising range, reaching up to 3,000 nautical miles when traveling at her optimal cruising speed. Such capacity ensures that Shimali can embark on extended voyages without the frequent need for refueling, making her an ideal vessel for long-haul trips across seas.

The yacht also boasts an expansive engine room that houses not only the powerful engines but also a variety of crucial systems such as air conditioning units, fire suppression systems, and an array of pumps. The design of the engine room ensures ease of access for maintenance and service, ensuring that all mechanical operations aboard Shimali run as smoothly as possible.

Amenities

The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
