Sonician is a 45.72m motor yacht delivered by American shipyard Trinity Yachts in 2002. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Trinity Yachts, while Carol Williamson & Associates is responsible for her interior design.
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.53m beam and a 2.1m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 446 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in early 2001. Launched in April 2002 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2002.
Accommodation
Sonician offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 3 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512B) 12-cylinder 2,250hp engines, motor yacht Sonician is capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 61,506 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Sonician also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
