Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 31'6" beam and a 10'10" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 747 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Starting on the aft deck, a central round table offers ample seating for up to 14 guests, extendable to 16 if necessary. This area is well-positioned for observing water activities off the stern and serves as a convenient spot for casual dining or gathering. The table is equipped with a large lazy Susan, enhancing the communal dining experience.
The sundeck is a focal point for relaxation and entertainment, with a dining area for 8 to 10 guests, a Jacuzzi, and various seating arrangements, including a large teak couch that can accommodate all guests on board. A pop-up TV provides entertainment under the stars, and a three-section sunshade offers versatility for sunbathing preferences.
For those seeking a more private experience, the foredeck features a half-round settee with a coffee table, providing a secluded spot with impressive views, especially when entering ports or during navigation.
Interior Design
The interior of the luxury yacht Starfire reflects a thoughtful approach to design, prioritizing both function and comfort. The main salon, accessible through large double doors, is appointed with a conveniently located bar on the port side, which proves to be a popular gathering spot for guests. It serves as an ideal location for pre-dinner cocktails or casual socializing, ensuring ease of service for the crew.
Moving into the main dining area, the space comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests. It features a chandelier with historical significance, made by one of the founders of the Lalique company. The office and adjacent sitting room, equipped with a television, offer a private retreat for those seeking a more intimate entertainment space.
The main staircase, which connects the various levels of the yacht, is designed with accessibility in mind. Its generous dimensions facilitate easy movement for guests of all ages.
The Sky Lounge boasts a functional fireplace and an additional bar, creating another warm and sociable area. Just outside, a glass-enclosed dining space offers an al fresco dining experience with the flexibility of open-air or sheltered seating, depending on the doors being open or closed. This area, dubbed the Star Room, features a ceiling designed to mimic the night sky of Via Reggio at the time of the yacht's construction.
In terms of functionality, the galley is a central island design, complete with a large window that is favored by the chefs on board. The space is amenable to guest interaction, allowing for shared culinary activities such as pizza making.
The vessel's technical areas, including the navigation bridge and the galley, are appointed with the necessary equipment to facilitate efficient operation and service. Desks for the chief stewardess and chief officer are positioned strategically to assist in the management of yacht operations.
Accommodation
Built to accommodate a variety of preferences and needs, Starfire is equipped to host up to twelve guests across its six well-appointed cabins.
The yacht's layout includes a master suite, which is furnished with a California King bed, a television at the foot of the bed, and a custom-made vanity with integrated power outlets. The suite is designed to offer both luxury and privacy, featuring a large Jacuzzi tub that can be accessed from either side of the room, a spacious shower, and lavatories with doors for added seclusion, including a bidet.
Adjacent to the master suite is an office and sitting room, providing guests with a space to enjoy entertainment or conduct business in a more secluded setting. Moving away from the master suite towards the lower deck, guests will find an inviting foyer that leads to four additional guest cabins.
The forward cabins are mirror images of each other, each containing two twin beds and a Pullman berth that can be deployed as needed. The aft cabins offer queen-sized beds and comfortable settees on either side. All guest cabins feature desks and generous en-suite bathrooms, ensuring comfort and convenience for all guests on board.
On the upper deck, the VIP cabin, known for its expansive windows and panoramic views, offers a queen-sized bed, a cozy sitting area, a desk, and an en-suite bathroom with a striking shell stainless steel sink and a bathtub.
Starfire's thoughtful design extends to its crew quarters, which are essential in maintaining the high standards of service expected on a luxury yacht. The captain's cabin is spacious, featuring a queen-sized bed and dual monitors for security and navigation. The crew mess is designed to accommodate a crew of 14, offering a comfortable dining and relaxation area. The yacht's engineers benefit from direct access to the control room and a two-story engine room, which facilitates efficient operation and maintenance.
With six additional crew cabins, including a Pullman in the engineer's cabin for flexibility, Starfire ensures that the crew is well-rested and can provide impeccable service to the guests. This careful consideration towards crew welfare is a crucial aspect of the overall guest experience aboard Starfire.
