The award winning 41m motor yacht Stefania was delivered to her owners in 2021 by French shipyard Dynamiq. The yacht's refined interiors have been crafted by Giuseppina Arena, while her exteriors have been penned by Dobroserdov Design.
Design & Construction
Designed around a fast displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.3m beam and a 1.8m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 299 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the GTT 135 design. Launched in February 2021 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2021.
Exterior Design
The yacht's profile is a remarkable display of Dynamiq’s unique approach to yacht-building, blending a traditional Mediterranean style with a breath of fresh air through its St Barth version, which boasts even more open-air spaces for the ultimate experience of the sea. Dynamiq's commitment to crafting vessels that offer a close connection to the water is evident in Stefania's slender, low-profile design, which is a deliberate choice to engender that sought-after feeling of intimacy with the ocean.
Attention to detail is paramount in the design of Stefania. Her railings with glass inserts and a transparent flagstaff are innovations that set her apart, adding an element of surprise and delight that is rarely seen in yacht design. These features are not just aesthetically pleasing but also serve to make the design unique, showcasing Dynamiq's penchant for creating something truly distinctive in the sea of sameness.
The choice of a metallic gold paint scheme from DuPont, complemented by a crisp white superstructure, not only harmonizes with Stefania's sleek lines but also aligns perfectly with the yacht's luxurious interior. This color scheme was selected after careful consideration to ensure that the exterior exudes an aura of elegance and exclusivity, while also reflecting the owner’s personal taste and the yacht's grandeur.
Dynamiq’s forward-thinking approach extends to the yacht's practicality and functionality. Notable features like the zero-speed fin stabilisers and the patented Hull Vane by Van Oossanen – a hydrofoil mounted at the stern – are integrated to improve efficiency and performance. These innovative solutions underline the shipyard's commitment to blending beauty with cutting-edge technology.
Interior Design
Adopting a "modern art deco" theme, the design team embarked on a challenging journey to encapsulate the essence of this opulent era within the confines of a 41-metre sporty yacht. The outcome is a harmonious blend of luxury and performance, where every element aligns with the owner's discerning taste and the brand's design ethos.
Central to Stefania's interior allure is the consistent use of a calming beige tone, chosen by the owner to ensure a seamless and elegant aesthetic throughout the vessel. This singular hue is complemented by strategic dark-brown contrasts, creating an environment that is both sophisticated and inviting. The design team collaborated with renowned brands such as Fendi Casa to source materials that would faithfully reflect the desired tone, including lacquered wood panels, suede, velour, and a selection of exquisite marbles like Calacatta Borghini, Calacatta Oro, Noir St Laurent, and Lasa.
Intricate details are woven into the fabric of Stefania's interior, with all metal inserts undergoing the same galvanizing technique to produce a consistent champagne or soft gold finish. This unity in design is exemplified by the tailored Dornbracht accessories, towel holders, mirror frames, and custom Serdaneli door handles, all of which echo the yacht's overarching theme of understated elegance.
The owner's penchant for a specific shade of oceanic blue, previously admired on another Dynamiq yacht, makes a tranquil reappearance in loose furnishings and cushions, infusing the interior with a subtle maritime connection. Stefania's main deck floors eschew conventional carpeting for heated white Lasa marble inlaid with gold, framed by hand-tufted Oliver Treutlein carpets. This not only adds a touch of sophistication but also ensures the comfort and safety of the owner's family, demonstrating the practical considerations underpinning the yacht's design.
The emphasis on detail extends to functional aspects, with an abundance of electrical sockets and tasteful contactless leather charging spots in guest cabins, ensuring convenience for all on board. This thoughtful approach to design ensures that Stefania's interiors are not just visually stunning but also comfortable, convenient, and suited to the modern yachting lifestyle.
Accommodation
Stefania offers sumptuous accommodation for up to ten guests across five beautifully appointed cabins, ensuring privacy and comfort throughout your journey. The layout includes a full-beam master suite and four guest cabins, each meticulously crafted to embody the modern art deco theme that is the hallmark of Stefania’s interior design.
The master suite, a sanctuary of serenity, is positioned aft on the lower deck, spanning the full width of the yacht for an unrivaled sense of space and luxury. This exquisite stateroom provides guests with a majestic and airy retreat, featuring high ceilings and panoramic windows that invite natural light to accentuate the soft gold and beige tones of the decor. The attention to detail is evident in the custom-designed furnishings, which include opulent fabrics and finishes, ensuring a harmonious blend of comfort and style.
The en suite bathroom of the master suite is equally impressive, offering a lavish space lined with the finest marbles and adorned with soft gold fixtures. The spacious layout includes all the amenities required for a rejuvenating experience, from the large shower to the elegant vanity, all designed to provide a serene environment to unwind after a day at sea.
The guest cabins are no less luxurious, each one a private oasis with its own unique character. The cabins are exquisitely appointed with lacquered wood panels, suede, velour, and premium marbles, continuing the opulent art deco theme. The neutral beige palette is complemented by touches of oceanic blue, creating a calming ambiance that resonates throughout the yacht. Each guest cabin features an en suite bathroom, complete with the same meticulous attention to detail and luxurious finishes found in the master suite.
For those on board in a service capacity, Stefania ensures that the crew's accommodation is also of the highest standard, providing comfortable and well-appointed quarters. This ensures that a crew of up to 6 is well-rested and able to provide exceptional service to guests.
Performance & Capabilities
Stefania is powered by twin diesel MAN (V12) 1,650hp engines that enables her to achieve a remarkable maximum speed of over 21 knots. This impressive turn of speed is a testament to Dynamiq's commitment to delivering a yacht that is as quick as it is luxurious. With a focus on efficiency across the entire speed range, Stefania also excels when cruising at more moderate speeds of 12, 15, or 16 knots, ensuring guests can enjoy a swift yet smooth journey across the seas.
The innovative Fast Displacement Hull Form is pivotal in providing Stefania with high efficiency throughout her speed spectrum. This patented design allows Stefania to optimize fuel consumption and extend her range, ensuring that she can undertake longer voyages with the same level of comfort and stability. With her 29,600-litre fuel tanks, she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots, allowing Stefania to effortlessly glide across the Atlantic or island-hop in the Caribbean with equal poise and purpose.
In terms of stabilization, Stefania is equipped with zero-speed fin stabilizers, which significantly reduce the yacht's roll both while underway and at anchor, providing guests with an exceptionally comfortable experience. This is further enhanced by the patented Hull Vane by Van Oossanen—a hydrofoil mounted at the stern that lifts the vessel at speed, contributing to improved efficiency and comfort.
Stefania also boasts outstanding acoustic performance, with an emphasis on creating a serene environment for her guests. The Torque Compensation System by Rubber Design plays a crucial role in this, contributing to remarkably low noise levels of about 55dBA when cruising at over 20 knots. At anchor, the yacht maintains a peaceful ambiance with noise levels dropping to 34 to 36dBA, ensuring the tranquility of the onboard experience is undisturbed.
Amenities
Waterfront living can be enjoyed to the fullest, thanks to a large beach club and connecting swim platform with plenty of space for sitting back and admiring the sea views. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck with an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
