Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.3m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).

She was delivered to her owners in July 2009.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the Toy-A yacht is characterized by its raked bow, providing a sleek and aerodynamic profile. The hull and superstructure are painted in a crisp white, creating a clean and modern look. A red boot top stripe adds a touch of contrast and visual interest. Below the waterline, the hull is also white, maintaining consistency in the yacht's overall appearance.

Toy-A features more glass sliding doors on either side of the arch mast, which can convert the area into an air-conditioned gymnasium. Forward on the main deck, there is a leisure area with seating designed to face both fore and aft. The MCA rescue tender is positioned forward in the bow, complete with a dedicated crane.

On the sun deck, there is an outdoor area with white laminate and teak, a bar, wine cave, and two large high-gloss tables. Forward of the mast, there are television and barbecue facilities, while aft, there is a shaded spa pool. Large tinted glass panels can be stored and used to create a windbreak or an enclosed, air-conditioned gymnasium.

Toy-A's high-sided bulwarks and covered walkways, almost a meter in width, emphasize safety. Heavy glass and steel-framed gates secure all outdoor areas. The design incorporates practical elements such as a Hamam system, large watermakers, zero-speed stabilizers, extra fridge and freezer space, and a dedicated garage for a Castoldi jet tender and three jet skis.

Interior Design

The main saloon features a classically styled decor with high volume, providing an ideal space for both relaxation and social gatherings. The furniture, crafted by Areti Italia of Milan, is complemented by fabrics from Rubelli and cream wool and silk carpets from Taiping.

The galley on Toy-A is designed to accommodate large family meals and is equipped with modern amenities, including oil recycling from the fat fryers. Crew access is streamlined through a dedicated staircase, ensuring discrete service and efficient operation.

The helm is designed with a commercial feel, incorporating a range of screens and instruments beyond standard specifications. This setup allows for enhanced navigation and operational control, ensuring safety and efficiency.

In the main deck's forward section, a leisure area offers seating that faces both fore and aft, providing versatility in use and comfort. The upper deck features a saloon that doubles as a private suite when needed.

For dining, Toy-A provides both formal and informal options. The formal dining room is adjacent to the galley, ensuring hot food service through a well-positioned service area.

Accommodation

Toy-A offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites. The master suite is located forward on the main deck. It features a classical styling with high gloss madrona wood and a coral decorative theme in the bathroom. The bed in the master suite faces inwards, optimizing the use of space for a significant social area outside the cabin.

On the lower deck, there are four identical guest cabins amidships. These cabins are designed to provide adequate space and comfort for guests. Each cabin is modernly decorated and equipped with a bed fitted with a leecloth and a Pullman.

The upper deck features a unique cabin with its own stairway, providing privacy and separation from the main family areas. This cabin is decorated with a crocodile finish and leather curtains. It has access to an adjacent saloon area and bar, which can also serve as a self-contained, private suite.

Toy-A accommodates the crew in three twin cabins and a separate captain’s cabin. The crew quarters are designed to ensure efficient and discreet service on board, with amenities that support their comfort and operational needs.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M90) 2,732hp engines, motor yacht Toy-A is capable of reaching a top speed of 20 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. With her 80,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,800 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
