From The Manufacturer
Hatteras. For hundreds of years, that name brought to the minds of experienced boatmen the punishing seas off Cape Hatteras. But, for the last 20 years, it has also come to mean high-quality boats. Boats with spirit. Rugged, roomy boats. Boats for fishermen and families.
A close inspection of the Hatteras 32 Flybridge Fisherman makes the meaning crystal clear.
This boat's modified-vee, constant deadrise hull places quickly, runs true. And it's wonderfully stable. All characteristics demanded by Hatteras of its designer, Jim Wynne.
Moreover, the hull's sharp entry and flared bow result in a softened ride in the swells and chop. Spray is deflected down and away. And tracking is true in turns and quartering seas because of a carefully chosen keel design.
So much for hull shape and on to what keeps the hull in shape.
The 32 Flybridge has its tough, cored fiberglass hull stiffened with a fiberglass stringer system of great strength. System design is such that it smoothly distributed the torque and weight loads of engines and drive gears.
Top speed, for the 32 flybridge is the result of early "match making" by Hatteras engineers. Hull shape, structure and weight are selected, in the design stage, to best match the engines' weight and power output.
The 32's operating systems, as on every Hatteras, receive a large infusion of reliability. That's a great comfort to fishermen and families who like to venture offshore for a day's outing.
