Hatteras' rebirth of the ever popular 65 Convertible will hit the tournament circuit in summer, 2000. The 65 Convertible has always been touted for its superior sea keeping hull, providing speeds of 35+ knots, coupled with a soft, dry ride. Features include rounded edges, a sleek raised foredeck with a swept back exterior profile. Its contemporary exterior provides new frameless windows with recessed pilasters, powder-coated exterior grab rails and welded stainless steel bow rails.
For fishing enthusiasts the 183 sq ft. cockpit boasts a newly designed bait and tackle center, accessed by convenient foot pedals. An insulated sink, refrigerator/freezer, top loading storage bin and starboard drink box service the cockpit as standard equipment, along with an oversized, centerline in-deck fish box with macerator pump. A molded-in transom fishbox adds the finishing touch.
The standard open bridge offers an extended deck overhand with a raised helm deck for increased visibility. To add to the 65's clean look, a power actuated console is offered as standard equipment, concealing all electronic equipment under a gasketed lid when not in use.
For superior comfort and protection from the elements, an enclosed bridge option is available,a s is an interior stairwell to the starboard side of the salon. Below-deck accommodations include a four stateroom, three-head arrangement or a spacious three stateroom, three-head layout.
