The Ax8 crossover boat will be the highlight of the Spanish shipyard’s participation at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival in September. Astondoa’s latest model will make its debut for sale at Le Vieux Port.
The Astondoa Ax8 is the first in a new line of boats, designed as a family cruiser ideal for long voyages. With a wide beam of 6.22m (20.4ft), it stands out in its class. The model emphasizes spaciousness throughout, featuring expansive windows that flood the Stefano Gatto-designed interiors with natural light.
The new Astondoa Ax8 can host up to 18 guests onboard and offers sleeping accommodations in 4+2 cabins, comfortably housing six guests.
On the lower deck, the VIP cabins are located aft and are full-beam, while the guest cabin is forward, all generously sized. There are two additional spacious cabins, each with en suite bathrooms, ample wardrobes, and plenty of storage space. The Ax8 also includes two crew cabins. On the fully glazed second deck, the captain's cabin has an ergonomic helm station and a second private lounge area.
The Astondoa Ax8 is designed with side passageways that allow for linear, comfortable, and safe movement between the cockpit and the beach club, without compromising the interior cabin space. The yacht features two spacious sun decks without steps between them—one on the main deck and another on the flybridge—offering ideal spaces for socializing, enjoying the open air, and taking in sea views.
Performance is delivered by Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines, offering a maximum speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. The Ax8 has a range of 420 nautical miles.
In addition to presenting the Ax8 at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival, Astondoa will also showcase the As5 boat for sale and the 377 Coupe, a sports classic dayboat.
The Astondoa As5 can accommodate up to eight guests for overnight stays and up to 18 people onboard overall. It features three guest cabins and one crew cabin. Standard engines are Volvo Penta D11 725hp, with options to upgrade to MAN i6 800hp or Volvo Penta D11 - IPS 950 725hp. The As5 can reach a maximum speed of 32 knots.

The 377 Coupe is the second model in Astondoa's 'Coupe' yacht cruiser line, featuring a bold inverted bow and sculpted hull sides, inspired by the sleek form of a blue whale. It reaches a maximum speed of 36 knots and cruises comfortably at 28 knots. The yacht can accommodate up to 12 people onboard and offers overnight accommodation for four guests.
The 47th edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival will open on September 10, 2024.
