Benetti announces new 67m custom superyacht FB284 is under construction

Benetti has announced it has started work on a new custom superyacht, the 67m (220ft) FB284, also known as Project Rinascimento.

The four-deck superyacht is shaped by Benetti’s four most recent yachts over 60m (197ft) long and places a strong focus on onboard liveability.

Project Rinascimento is a collaboration between Benetti’s in-house team, who worked on the interiors and naval architecture, and Giorgio M. Cassetta who created the exteriors. The result is undeniably smooth and is a continuation of the design-work first seen on the award-winning METIS, which is also being used in the construction of projects FB270, FB274 and FB278.

Benetti Chief Commercial Officer Sebastiano Fanizza was keen to stress that both style and the function of spaces onboard are important aspects of the FB284, saying: “If it’s true that buying a superyacht is an all-engrossing emotional experience, it’s impossible not to take account of the Shipyard’s key role in supporting the owner in areas where rationality plays a more important role. It’s here that we make the difference, offering the design flexibility and construction standards that come from proven, long-term experience.”

“This is the result achieved together with Giorgio M. Cassetta’s design for FB284, a ship that’s different and makes her owner feel 'at home' by expressing strength in the form of extreme onboard liveability, becoming the perfect setting for memorable moments”.

Project Rinascimento features strong, harmonious exterior lines, broken only by the bridge wings and is marked by the clear cut lines of an iconic vertical bow and sleek hull.

The interiors are dominated by Curly Maple and Macassar Ebony woods, with sporadic uses of Carrara White marble contrasting elegantly with black Saint Laurent marble.

Highlights include a very spacious main deck lounge, a versatile bridge deck and a 90-square-meter (295-square-feet) sun deck with spectacular views from the bar and a raised Jacuzzi to make conversation easier between guests in the tub and those sipping cocktails on the sofa.

She offers accommodation for up to 14 guests across seven cabins, as well as 19 crew members.

Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, Benetti has had another successful year announcing both the FB284 and its new Motopanfilo model, which pays homage to the style and spirit of yachts of the 1960s, on the same day.

Benetti has one of the largest range of yachts for sale and FB284 will add to that joining the other in-build projects, the 65m (213ft) FB270 and FB274 projects and the 67m (220ft) FB278, known as ‘Project Fenestra’. To browse the entire fleet view all Benetti yachts for sale.
