Cantieri di Pisa's new Polaris 48 superyacht series

Cantieri di Pisa has revealed the details of Polaris 48, their latest 48m (157ft) motor yacht concept, marking the beginning of a new series of steel and aluminum yachts from the builder.

Designed with an Eco High Power Hull (EHPH) displacement hull, the Polaris 48 is engineered for long-range cruising with low fuel consumption. The superyacht's exterior design is the work of Antonio Luxardo, interiors are crafted by Parisotto + Formenton, and naval engineering is handled by Optima Design.

Boasting a nearly 9m (30ft) beam, the main deck includes two staterooms — a master suite and a VIP stateroom — and offers 200 square meters of luxurious living space.

One of the yacht's highlights is the spacious upper deck, where guests can enjoy a formal dining table, bar, cushy chaise lounges, sofas, and sunpads while taking in sea views. Two stairways provide easy access between the upper deck and the beach area.

The main characteristic is the liveability of the upper and main decks, which feature two large interconnecting water’s edge terraces that can be used in different ways and can accommodate everything needed to explore the surrounding area and play water sports.”

On the lower deck, four additional guest staterooms offer comfortable overnight accommodations, while living quarters for up to eight crew members are also available. The accommodation layout is flexible, catering to the owner's needs.

Parisotto + Formenton has chosen materials such as pickled teak, carbon fiber, bronze, glass, and brass, creating a blend of maritime-inspired colors, backed by elegant lines, and extensive amounts of glazing. Furthermore, the design ensures a connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

For propulsion, the Polaris 48 will be equipped with a pair of MAN engines, delivering a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of 4,000nm. Top speeds will be approximately 16 knots.

Following on from the Polaris 48, Cantieri di Pisa aims to launch the Polaris 38 and Super Polaris 60 models as part of the range.
