First images of Azimut Magellano 25 Metri

Having made its debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) 2020, images of the 25m (82.5ft) trawler-inspired yacht have been released, with a bronze interior one of the many highlights.

Italian shipyard Azimut has revealed the Magellano 25 Metri superyacht, its first collaboration with architect and designer Vincenzo De Cotiis, who penned the innovative interior.

The trawler-inspired exterior, meanwhile, was styled by Ken Freivokh. Its flybridge, hard top and garage are all laminated with lightweight carbon fibre, and an elegant spiral staircase connects the main and upper decks. Aft is a hydraulic swimming platform that can act as a waterside social spot.

The superyacht accommodates eight guests in four en-suite cabins, with provisions for three crew. All of the guest suites are on the lower deck, with the Owner’s amidships and occupying the full 6.5m (21ft) beam.

The winner of the Most Innovative Yacht (24m–30m) award at the 2020 World Yachts Trophies, the interior uses creative materials such as multilayered fibreglass embellished with bronze. There’s also Verde Alpi marble, dark walnut wood and polished brass.

The air sanitising system inside is based on a NASA patent. Those buying the yacht can also spec a zero-emission option.

This design gives the main deck a large, open and relaxing salon that bathes in natural light thanks to the stretching windows. The space is designed to offer a beautiful sea view no matter where guests are.

The Magellano 25 Metri flybridge yacht uses creative lighting choices inside. There are the usual lamps and ceiling spotlights, as well as lights underneath the sofas, intended to make the furniture look suspended in midair, befitting of the yacht’s forward-looking aesthetic.

The yacht is powered by two MAN engines that can have either 1,400 or 1,550hp. The top speed ranges slightly depending on the power, from 24 to 25 knots. The cruising speed will be either 18 or 22 knots.

The Magellano 25 Metri is currently the range-topping model in the Magellano Collection – according to YachtBuyer’s market intelligence, a larger 30m (98.5ft) 30 Metri is currently in development.
