Dutch builder Wajer Yachts flagship yacht, the 23.5m (77ft) Wajer 77, has been launched in front of a fleet of other Wajers and their owners in the Côte d'Azur.
Around 40 other owners joined the unveiling in the crystal blue Mediterranean waters before heading to the famous beaches of Pampelonne to raise their glasses in honor of the new model, which has already sold 17 hulls.
Dries Wajer, the owner of Wajer Yachts, expressed his excitement about the event saying: “It was an unforgettable day. The welcoming fleet showed how strong our community is. I can't wait to show her to the rest of the world."
The Wajer 77 is the yard’s largest model yet and has been designed in collaboration with Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design and Van Oossanen Naval Architects. It features a number of technical innovations such as deck cooling, a hybrid fender system, an automatic roof and an electrically adjustable deck layout.
The model carries the sleek and sporty look associated with much of the Wajer fleet and focuses on outdoor living with spacious circular seating, sun pads to the front and large sofas, and a dining area at the back.
There is accommodation for nine guests across three cabins, including a 5m (16.4ft) wide master suite and there is also storage space for a wide range of toys. Triple Volvo Penta IPS engines give a top speed of 37 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots.
Wajer was founded in Amsterdam in 1992 and has built a reputation for producing high-quality superyacht tenders, with its Wajer 38 remaining one of the best-selling tenders ever produced. To find out more about this highly regarded builder you can view all Wajer yachts for sale.
