Italia Yachts, renowned for its high-performance sailing vessels, has ventured into the powerboat realm with the debut of its 43 Veloce at the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Sporting an athletic profile, the 43 Veloce boasts a sleek, razor-like stem designed for optimal seafaring, while its functional, curved hull sides hint at its impressive speed potential.
Externally, the cockpit boasts U-shaped seating around a teak table that converts into a sun pad, while seating for six with a teak table sits forward under the hardtop. Fold-out decks expand the cockpit area, creating a beach club ambiance when the sun pad is in use.
The 43 Veloce’s helm station features a two-seat, open-air layout with unimpeded side-deck access, complemented by a sleek, single-piece windshield. Helm electronics from Garmin and Fusion sound systems enhance the onboard experience.
Below the deck, all configurations feature two staterooms and a single head. Standard offerings include a forepeak owner’s space with a queen berth and an amidships guest stateroom with twin berths, with the option for an amidships master or twin berths with a forward lounge.
With three propulsion options — triple 400 hp Mercury Verado outboards, twin 380 hp Yanmar diesel sterndrives, and twin 440 hp or 480 hp Volvo Penta IPS diesels — the 14m (46ft) vessel offers versatility and performance. Speed projections range from 35 to 39 knots with inboard options and mid-40 knots with outboards. Notably, the outboard and sterndrive versions provide extra stowage space for gear compared to the IPS-powered model.
