Announced at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show, the series will debut with a yacht designed by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, bringing advanced technologies together with Swan’s renowned elegance and performance.
For Nautor Swan, the venture is a bold expansion of its legacy, positioning the brand at the forefront of maxi yacht construction in aluminium. While the shipyard has long been celebrated for its composite yachts, this new alloy line reflects an evolving demand from owners seeking durability, long-range capability, and sustainable innovation without compromising sailing performance.
A Shared Vision
The partnership with Edmiston, one of the world’s most established brokerage houses, extends beyond sales support. It aligns two like-minded brands in their mission to push the boundaries of luxury sailing while preserving the authenticity that defines both their reputations. Jamie Edmiston, CEO of Edmiston, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting the shared ambition to bring Nautor Swan to the pinnacle of the performance sailing yacht market. Bruce Brakenhoff will lead the project from Edmiston’s U.S. office in Newport, Rhode Island, which will serve as the operational base for sales and promotion.

This collaboration also ties into Nautor Swan’s broader "Nautor Swan for America" initiative, following its recent involvement with American Magic in the America’s Cup. The goal is to further engage the U.S. sailing community, and Newport’s rich maritime heritage makes it an ideal hub for this effort.
Strategic Growth and Sustainable Design
Massimo Perotti, Executive Chairman of Sanlorenzo—Nautor Swan's parent company—highlighted the strategic nature of the move: “Our acquisition of Nautor Swan was meant to complement Sanlorenzo’s portfolio by entering the sailing market with the most iconic brand. This partnership with Edmiston reinforces our shared values and opens new doors for sustainable sailing solutions.”

CEO of Nautor Swan, Giovanni Pomati, described the partnership as essential to driving a global project that will leverage Sanlorenzo’s superyacht expertise and introduce new technologies to the sailing market. The new alloy yachts will focus on strength, safety, and long-range cruising, with design hallmarks that reflect Swan’s timeless aesthetic. Malcolm McKeon’s involvement ensures that performance and style will remain front and centre, with the first unit set to define the series.
Sustainability will be integral to the alloy range, incorporating eco-conscious solutions such as hydrogeneration and advanced propulsion systems based on Sanlorenzo's experience with hydrogen and methanol technology. The design will prioritise protection and comfort while embracing Swan’s racing DNA.
A New Chapter for a Storied Brand
Founded in 1966 in Pietarsaari, Finland, Nautor Swan has built over 2,350 yachts across several lines, including the performance-focused ClubSwan, the luxury Swan Yachts, and the larger Maxi Swan series. Its expansion into aluminium construction marks a new chapter for the brand as it looks to serve a growing group of owners ready to join the Swan legacy at a larger scale.
Recent models such as the Nautor Swan Arrow Boat, which YachtBuyer reviewed at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival, show how Nautor Swan is moving into the high-performance dayboat space. At 23.2 metres, it offers a 37-knot top speed, three guest cabins, and styling by Jarkko Jämsén.
