Dutch builder Zeelander has revealed details of its latest model, the Zeelander 5, which it claims is set to be the quietest vessel in its size range.
Set for launch in early 2022, the 14.6m (48ft) yacht features the trademark flowing lines the yard has become famous for and succeeds the award-winning Z44 model as well as taking inspiration from the Z72, as Shipyard founder and owner Sietse Koopmans explains:
“At Zeelander we want to inspire people to be extraordinary,” he says. “The Zeelander 5 is an embodiment of that philosophy. A refined yacht that stands out. The exterior is a continuation of the lines of the successful Z72, and the interior design is truly exceptional for a yacht of this size.”
Living up to Zeelander’s reputation for producing forward thinking, eye-catching designs the Zeelander 5 is marked by a voluptuous appearance and innovative features, such as Volvo Penta’s Assisted Docking Feature, delivering stress-free joystick docking. The interior offers owners with a range of custom possibilities.
Koopman’s also confirmed the Zeelander 5 will be very quiet, thanks to a deliberately rigorous mechanical design and high-tech claddings to deaden noise:
“Over the past 20 years I have been obsessed with sound and vibration - I even founded a company that is specialised in it,” he says. “The Zeelander 5 will become the quietest vessel in its size range. And you can be sure of the top-quality ride and comfort on board that is to be expected of a Zeelander.”
Zeelander is set to release more details over the coming months.
