The Dutch shipyard has revealed the second hull of its Z72 has several new features including a redesigned interior, 10-meter square swim platform, plus an array of marine tech such as forward-looking sonar and underwater cameras.
Powered by triple Volvo IPS 1350 engines, the 20m (65.5ft) Zeelander Z72 is also capable of a top speed of 40 knots and comes in an elegant Royal Nights Blue Metallic color.
Sietse Koopmans, Founder and Chairman of Zeelander Yachts, explains how this unit differs from the first hull that was delivered in March 2019: “The array of custom updates the client requested make this a very different Z72. These exciting new features belong to superyacht class. The quality, attention to detail, feeling of space and seagoing qualities are nothing short of excellent.”
The aft and side windows on the main deck have privacy glass and can be tinted at the click of the button. Other highlights include three suites on the lower deck, a spacious main deck saloon with expansive windows and panoramic views and a pair of alfresco social areas.
“The client had some special requests” adds Sietse Koopmans. “The main deck bar with a pair of barstools, adjacent to the interior galley, is shortened. We designed an L-shaped sofa instead of the other two stools to the left like the other Z72 had.”
From the exterior she keeps the same wide stern and curved exterior lines that were developed in collaboration with Cor D. Rover and inspired by the way Porsche has incrementally evolved its designs over time.

Watersports fans might like what's happening at the stern where the tender garage is large enough to carry a 3.5m Williams tender with stowage and charge points for jet surfboards.
