Tennis superstar Rafael Nadal’s 24m (80ft) catamaran ‘Great White will be taking pride of place as part of Sunreef Yachts line up at the Monaco Yacht Show.
The 80 Sunreef Power yacht was delivered to the tennis pro last summer, and recently won best catamaran in the Robb Report Best of the Best awards. It drew praise for its standout features such as a private foldout balcony on the master suite and a vast relaxation area on the flybridge.
Nadal’s love of the water is no secret, and he previously owned Beethoven, a Monte Carlo MCY 76 yacht. He ordered the Sunreef 80 Power yacht after enjoying a number of vacations on board Sunreef charter yachts, and suggested he intended to use it around the coastline of his home island Mallorca.
“As someone from an island, as I am, the sea is part of our lives and It’s not a secret that I love the sea. Every time I am at home in Mallorca I try to go out and find that time where I can just enjoy my time on a boat,” he said.
The catamaran has been customized for Nadal, and boasts beige, cream and coffee interiors, over 360 square meters of living space, a large main deck salon, and accommodation for 12 guests. She also features a stern tender garage with enough space to house a tender, jet skis and other water toys.
Polish-based Sunreef Yachts is also expected to exhibit its bespoke 24m (80ft) Sunreef 80 Double Happiness at the show.
The Monaco Yacht Show is returning to the picturesque Port Hercule from 22 September to 25 September with a new ethos.
