Italy-based shipyard, Silent Yachts has introduced its new Silent 62 3-Deck Open solar electric catamaran to the public for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024.
The Silent 62 3-Deck Open builds upon the successful platform of the Silent 62, introducing an open-sided third deck designed for ultimate entertainment and flexible accommodation. The sleek hardtop, supported elegantly on two legs and four supports, offers 60 square meters of customizable space. Whether you envision deep sofas, dining tables, bar space, gym equipment, or even a Jacuzzi, the possibilities are endless.
The Silent 62 Open is perfectly suited for warm climates — its hardtop provides welcome shade while allowing cooling breezes to refresh the owner and their guests. The first model features a three-stool wet bar at the center of the skylounge, surrounded by comfortable sofa seating upholstered in weatherproof Sunbrella fabric. High-low tables in the space can transition between relaxed coffee/cocktail mode and a beautiful dining table, accommodating any owner's wish with typical Silent Yachts flexibility.

The yacht's twin helm stations are located on the flybridge and in the saloon. The main deck aft is a large social area with built-in sofas for lounging and dining. Optional features include a grill, fridge, and ample storage for cruising gear. The teak-lined bathing platform, capable of raising and storing a tender up to 500kg, enhances the aft area, making it a hub for water sports, swimming, and relaxation.
Sliding doors and windows integrate the 50 square meter saloon seamlessly with the outdoor space. The saloon features an aft galley, abundant counter space, and an L-shaped sofa with a cleverly extendable table that can seat up to eight. At the touch of a button, the table converts to a coffee table or a large day bed/TV lounge. Two deeply padded pilot seats offer an excellent view and easy access to navigation controls.
At the heart of the Silent 62 Open is electric propulsion. Twin electric motors, which can be specced up to 340kW, are powered by high-quality lithium-ion cells with a robust management system. The yacht offers a cruising speed of 6-8 knots, with top speeds varying depending on the power package. The Silent 62 Open also features a 16.8kW array of solar panels, generating enough power to cover much of the daily hotel load. This reduces generator usage and allows for silent overnight anchoring.
The Silent 62 Open offers two main layout options: a forward exit from the saloon to a recessed forward lounge or a large central master cabin that spans the twin hulls on the lower deck. The forward exit option includes a shaded seating area and a raised sunbed with a panoramic view, while the front master cabin offers a private haven with a large bathroom, separate shower, heads, basins, and ample storage space.
The new yacht for sale features three additional double cabins, each with natural light and an ensuite. Interior styling is customizable, with options for various finishes. The first Silent 62 3-Deck Open showcases a blend of cream-colored leather headlining, grey upholstery, and natural wood cabinetry and floors.
Storage is a crucial asset on a multihull of this size and capability. The Silent 62 Open offers 11 square meters of storage bins in the bow, providing space for paddleboards, SeaBobs, kite sails, and spare parts. Additional under-seat storage and deep lockers in the deck sole further enhance the yacht's practicality.
