Tankoa T450 first launch: GO is christened in Genoa

The first 45m (147.6ft) yacht from Italian builder Tankoa, and the shipyard’s first under 50 meters

Motor yacht GO marks the inaugural launch of the new range. This steel and aluminum vessel showcases clean lines and provides optional hybrid propulsion, aiming for reduced consumption, pollution, noise, and vibration.

The first Tankoa T450 has made a splash with its recent launch in Genoa. Named GO, this T450 is the brainchild of the Italian shipyard, Tankoa Yachts, and boasts an exceptional design by Giorgio M. Cassetta. The T450 series introduces a new dimension to Tankoa's range, catering to clientele seeking a more compact yet equally luxurious yachting experience. As the second hull is already under construction, the market eagerly anticipates the availability of Tankoa T450s for sale.

The T450 series marks Tankoa's foray into sub-50-meter luxury yachts. Despite its relatively smaller size, the T450 does not compromise on the quality and sophistication synonymous with the Italian builder. GO, in particular, was customized for an American client who sought to enhance the yacht's gross tonnage from 430GT to 450GT, thereby expanding its interior volume without detracting from its streamlined aesthetic.

The model comfortably accommodates 12 guests, with a master suite on the main deck, complemented by five plush guest suites on the lower deck. The new Tankoa yacht GO doesn't just impress with its luxurious accommodations; it also features many amenities that set it apart from other yachts in its class. The beach club, a standout feature, encompasses opening side platforms at the stern, and a sliding sun pad arrangement to cover the pool while the yacht is underway.

The sundeck serves as a serene retreat, featuring a hydromassage tub and a shaded dining area, providing optimal comfort while enjoying the views. Additionally, the yacht offers a spacious indoor-outdoor beach club with expansive windows and an outdoor terrace, an optional pool at beach club level, a main salon with a dining area for ten, and an upper deck lounge terrace.

The yacht's interior is bathed in natural light, thanks to expansive windows that offer unobstructed views and create an airy ambiance within the vessel.

"The all-new Tankoa T450 M/Y Go is a great addition to the Tankoa core fleet of superyachts and it is an incredibly flexible platform on which we can create semi-custom yachts, offering big volumes without compromising on the sleek and elegant lines." Claudio Corvino

Powered by two MAN (1,429hp) engines, GO will maintain a cruising speed of 12 knots, with a maximum speed reaching 15 knots. The impressive range extends to 4,000 nautical miles. Equipped with stabilizers for both anchoring and cruising, the Tankoa T450 ensures a comfortable and stable cruising experience. Seven crew are on board to ensure a full guest service.

Tankoa Yachts presents the T450 as a versatile platform for semi-custom builds, allowing yacht buyers to incorporate their personal style into the design. The partnership between the shipyard, the client, and Cassetta's design studio has yielded a yacht that showcases Tankoa's commitment to delivering quality in a more personalized context.

As GO readies for delivery in the spring and anticipates its international debut at the autumn boat shows, potential buyers are closely monitoring the market for the Tankoa T450 for sale. With the second hull currently in production and the TX450 on the horizon, the T450 is poised to establish itself as a highly sought-after Italian yacht.
