Nordhavn's range of go-anywhere explorer and trawler yachts is more focused on the built-to-order market, with a good degree of customisation and personalisation available. However, its global dealer network may well include the opportunity of a stock boat or access to an existing build slot.
All Nordhavns are built and specified to go to sea, and many of the extras, such as electronics, required for those seeking long-distance cruising potential can easily be retro-fitted, if not with the yacht already.
Larger and more expensive optional equipment, such as stabilisers, may not be so easily added to an existing build or stock boat but again these may have been fitted by the builder as a matter of course.
