On Deck

One of the first things noted was the spaciousness of the yacht, highlighting the wide beam across the cockpit and walkways.  There is a small bar, icemaker and seating area in the cockpit.  On the foredeck there is beautiful sleek detailing with practical storage areas.

Interior

The boat has extensive customization options. This yacht had been specified by its owner, with features such as a dinette area on the starboard side, a centrally positioned galley, and a lower helm. He mentioned that alternatives, like an L-shaped settee or a rear galley opening to the cockpit, could also be incorporated according to the owner's preference.

Nick appreciated the practical and aesthetic details within the yacht's interior, such as the wide use of wood in the guest cabin and the frosted glass hatches in the bathroom areas. There are plenty of storage spaces and a third cabin, which is suggested would be ideal for crew or children.

The Sky Lounge concept is a feature here that provides a relaxed driving area with an excellent view, but it could be left as an open flybridge if preferred. He also noted a well designed day heads and side door out to the tender storage area at this level.

Performance

There is a spacious lazarette area, which could be used for a variety of purposes, and the engine space on this yacht features Volvo Penta D13-800s providing a top speed of around 28 knots and a cruising speed of 22 knots providing about 850 nautical miles of range. There is the option of installing Caterpillar engines or IPS units for even greater speed.

In Summary

Nick concluded his tour by praising the Grand Banks 60 Skylounge. He acknowledged the yacht's classic Grand Banks feel, describing it as "rock-solid" and "completely bomb-proof".
