On Deck

The side decks come down and stop, allowing the main saloon to extend almost to the boat’s edges, with only a very narrow walkway remaining. This opens up interior space but still provides access along the sides. The cockpit area at the stern is very comfortable, shaded by a big overhang, and features a bar area with a fridge, a sink, and an ice maker.

Moving to the foredeck, there are sunbathing areas, a massive deck locker, and the anchor handling kit. Deep bulwarks add to the superyacht feel. Side doors allow for easy step-off access when moored, and removable steps can be fitted to help get on and off tenders.

On the flybridge, there is another social space, shaded by a hardtop. It includes a bar with a refrigerator, sink, and storage. A hot tub is set into the deck. At the aft of the flybridge, a crane and tender storage area sit next to a casual daybed spot. Curving steps lead back down to the main deck cockpit.

Interior Accommodation

The main saloon is vast due to the absence of side walkways. It has freestanding furniture, including swivel chairs, and a TV that rises out of a cabinet. A bar area with an ice maker and storage for glasses sits to one side. Big windows and the beam of the yacht give a light and spacious feel. There is a dining area as well, framed by elegant lighting.

Forward of the main saloon, a doorway leads onto the side deck where it resumes. A day head is located on the main deck.

The country kitchen is a large, welcoming area, perfect for relaxed living and gathering. It is fully equipped with large fridges and a cooking area, very much the social heart of the boat.

The raised pilothouse sits above the main deck. It has a large vertical wheel, thruster controls, and navigation equipment spread across the console. A seating area wraps around the helm, providing a social spot when underway.

Up another level, the flybridge helm offers a commanding view. Detroit Diesel electronic controls are installed, with a second set of controls on the flybridge’s wing stations for close-quarters manoeuvring.

Owner's Cabin

The owner's cabin is accessed through double doors, creating a sense of arrival. It spans the full beam of the boat and is exceptionally spacious. The ensuite stretches behind the bulkhead, with two entrances, separate toilet areas, and a huge central shower. Frosted glass could be used if privacy were needed.

A walk-in wardrobe provides generous storage, along with more storage built into the cabin itself.

Guest Accommodation

Below deck, the guest accommodation starts with a two-berth twin cabin featuring single beds, a hanging locker, and an ensuite with a separate shower and toilet.

Across the lobby is a larger double cabin with even more storage, another ensuite with a toilet and shower, and a comfortable layout.

Forward of the country kitchen, a completely separate guest cabin sits beneath the main deck. It is ideal for grandparents or guests wanting privacy. It features a double bed, AV equipment, drawers, a hanging locker, and an ensuite with shower, toilet, and sink. It has the feel of a private retreat.

Crew Accommodation

Crew quarters are accessed via a companionway. There are two cabins: one with twin beds set across from each other and another, larger, captain’s cabin with a double bed. Both have good storage and ensuite bathrooms with separate showers.

Performance

The engine room houses a pair of MTU 12V2000 engines, each producing 1,480 horsepower. The yacht reaches about 22 knots flat out and cruises at about 18-19 knots. Twin Northern Lights generators provide backup power.

The engine room is noted for its excellent headroom, strong lighting, soft-touch tread flooring, and general cleanliness. Switchgear and circuit breakers are located here, along with laundry facilities.

In Summary

This 95-foot Westport, built in 2001, gives a strong mini-superyacht feel. It was designed around family living, space, and comfort. The layout mixes luxury with practicality - a huge saloon, multiple social areas, a welcoming country kitchen, and separate spaces for privacy. The pilothouse and flybridge both enhance the driving experience. The engine room remains impressively clean and practical over two decades later. Overall, it is a magnificent yacht with a relaxed, family-focused design that remains stylish and functional today.
