The heart of the brand, Windy’s sharply styled but timelessly elegant Sports Cruisers range ranges from eight-metre (26ft) open cockpit weekenders to 14-metre (46ft) offshore sports yachts, with 40-knot performance potential mixed with notably good fuel economy at fast cruising speeds.
These boats have won several major awards for hull design, and have added more contemporary features such as hull-side windows, voluminous interiors and sleek, sunroof hardtops.
While most models in the range are open-top sportsboats with large cockpits and compact but luxuriously upholstered cabins, somewhere around 12m (40ft) they become hardtop sports yachts with elevated helm stations that offer an engaging driving experience, enclosed salons on the main deck, and spacious cabins below. As noted above, ergonomics is one of Windy’s strong suits and practical features such as well-placed handrails and wide side decks toe rails lend a feeling of security to these boats.
