The 40.37m expedition yacht Lori was delivered to her owners in 2024 by Italian shipyard Ocean King. Her exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Design aLot, while inNave is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Master cabin with en suite & study
  • Sun deck with bar & swimming pool
  • Large saloon with floor-to-ceiling windows
  • Large beach club with fold-out balconies.

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 428 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the Doge 400 GT design. Launched in July 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2024.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Lori features a spoon-shaped bow, which enhances its navigational capabilities and contributes to a smoother ride in various sea conditions. The deck is crafted from teak, known for its durability and resistance to the marine environment. The hull and superstructure are finished in a uniform grey color, offering a sleek and cohesive appearance. The boot top and areas below the waterline are painted black, providing a stark contrast to the grey, which adds to the yacht's sophisticated aesthetic while also serving practical purposes in terms of maintenance and visibility.

The upper deck includes a formal dining room that connects to the sun deck, which is equipped with a bar and a swimming pool. This setup provides a versatile space for both dining and leisure.

A large beach club with two fold-out balconies offers easy access to the sea. This area also houses one tender garage, while another is located in the bow. The design ensures that all areas are easily accessible and serve their intended purpose effectively.

Interior Design

The interior design of Lori is centered around functionality and comfort, employing high-quality materials and thoughtful layouts. The main deck features a spacious saloon with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide ample natural light and panoramic views. Adjacent to this area is an external lounge and an al fresco dining space, perfect for social gatherings and relaxed dining.

The formal dining room, located on the upper deck, offers a dedicated space for more intimate meals. This area connects directly to the sun deck, which includes a bar and a swimming pool, ensuring guests have easy access to leisure amenities.

Accommodation

Lori offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 2 VIP cabins, 1 double cabin and 1 twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
