Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.14m beam and a 2.11m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 198 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Starlight is defined by its classic lines and distinctive dark green topsides, crafted with precision by the legendary designer C. Raymond Hunt. The yacht features a deep-V hull, a hallmark of Hunt's design philosophy, combining both aesthetic appeal and performance efficiency.
Starlight boasts a solid teak high-gloss transom and a large swim platform. The teak theme continues with full walk-around decks and cap rails, which were refinished in 2023 to maintain their pristine condition. These decks not only add to the yacht's visual appeal but also offer practical spaces for leisure and socializing.
The flybridge is a notable feature, extending over two-thirds of the yacht's length. It includes a full outdoor kitchen, a custom mahogany dining table seating 12, and spacious areas for lounging or dining. This space is equipped with a full station for driving underway, three Stidd chairs, and a full navigation station. The inclusion of a large hardtop and a quick deploy/remove awning adds to the functionality of the space, allowing for comfortable use under various weather conditions. Additionally, the flybridge offers substantial storage for a tender and jetskis, further enhancing the yacht's versatility and readiness for adventure.
The lower aft cockpit features a full-beam lazarette with exceptional freezer storage for food and bait, along with space for all equipment necessary to support fishing or long-range cruising. This includes a dive compressor and a collection of water toys.
Interior Design
The main salon and public areas feature raised panel mahogany joinery, providing a warm, rich backdrop that complements the classic design of the yacht. This choice of wood, known for its durability and fine grain, adds a subtle elegance to the interior. The flooring in the pilothouse is teak and holly, a traditional combination that offers both beauty and resilience.
The inclusion of large windows in the salon ensures ample natural light during the day, while blinds and curtains allow for privacy and light control when desired.
Starlight features two main dining areas that cater to different experiences onboard. The enclosed aft deck, finished with high-gloss teak trim and cabinetry, houses a dining table with a high-gloss finish, inlaid borders, and a compass rose design, offering a unique setting for meals. This area can be opened for an almost al fresco dining experience or enclosed for comfort in varying weather conditions. The salon also includes a smaller dining or game table, providing an additional space for intimate meals or social activities.
The pilothouse is equipped with modern navigation and communication technology, set against the backdrop of classic design elements like a varnished wood steering wheel and raised panel mahogany. The layout and equipment are arranged for optimal functionality, ensuring easy access to controls and systems for safe navigation.
The galley is outfitted with high-end appliances, including a Subzero refrigerator and freezer, Wolf induction cooktop, and other essential kitchen equipment, all integrated into the space to maximize efficiency and ease of use. Granite countertops and flooring with double stainless steel sinks underline the practical and stylish approach taken.
Accommodation
Starlight accommodates guests in a luxurious setting, with a full-width master stateroom at its heart. This suite offers a king-size bed, complemented by a double door entryway, a built-in desk, settee, and cabinets, ensuring ample space for relaxation and privacy. The stateroom is equipped with an oversized cedar-lined walk-in closet, providing extensive clothes storage along with built-in bookcases. An emergency exit to the engine room through the closet adds a layer of practicality to the luxurious suite. The large ensuite bathroom boasts a double sink, bath, and shower/Jacuzzi, offering a spa-like experience.
In addition to the master suite, Starlight features a port guest stateroom with twin beds and a starboard guest stateroom with a queen bed. Each guest stateroom is equipped with its own entertainment system, including satellite TV, and an ensuite bathroom— the port with a tub and shower, the starboard with a shower. These accommodations ensure privacy and comfort for all guests on board.
The crew quarters are designed for functionality and comfort, providing a separate large dining/lounge area for the three crew, alongside a washer and dryer for convenience. The captain's cabin comes with a full-size bed, private bathroom, satellite TV, and essential monitoring systems such as CCTV, depth, radar, wind, and GPS. An additional crew cabin includes over and under bunks and a private bathroom.
Performance & Capabilities
