Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7.84m beam and a 1.85m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 199 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2022.
Exterior Design
The exterior of Lady Fleur is a testament to the prowess of innovative yacht design, seamlessly melding the sleek lines of a monohull with the stability and space afforded by a catamaran structure. Bernd Weel, the visionary behind the yacht's exterior, has crafted a silhouette that is both robust and stylish, challenging conventions with its bold, muscular stance. The yacht's high, commanding bow and raised wheelhouse contribute to an imposing maritime presence, while voluminous forward spaces are indicative of a vessel built for luxury and comfort.
Encircling each deck, a broad strip of champagne-colored superstructure appears to float atop the contrasting dark sea of black glass windows, creating a striking visual impact. Lady Fleur's design language speaks of power and readiness, its dynamic lines echoing the forms of nature and predatory might. There is a palpable sense of forward momentum in Weel's work, with the yacht's "muscle shoulders" and aggressive wheelhouse posture conveying a spirit of adventure and resilience.
The aft deck of the Lady Fleur is an engineering marvel, boasting a transformative space that serves dual purposes. At the touch of a button, the central section of the deck descends hydraulically, becoming a wet dock for the custom Skipper 11-meter tender. The tender itself is built for exhilarating performance, its four-step hull and twin 400hp outboards allowing it to reach speeds of up to 85 knots. When the tender is secured, the deck rises, metamorphosing into a luxurious swimming pool, a five-meter by two-meter oasis that is filled with seawater and can be adjusted in depth to cater to both young paddlers and adult swimmers.
Further enhancing Lady Fleur's exterior offerings is the sunny spa pool located on the top deck, a place where guests can bask in the warmth while taking in panoramic views of the surrounding seascape. The yacht's design also incorporates practical features such as a hydraulic passerelle for ease of boarding and a full-beam toy garage that stores jet skis and other water sports equipment, all while ensuring effortless access via hatches on either side of the split hull.
Interior Design
The main deck of Lady Fleur is a celebration of an open-plan living ethos, mirroring the casual lifestyle of the owners. Practical, easy-to-clean surfaces such as vinyl flooring styled in a chic herringbone pattern, and composite countertops that mimic the gravitas of heavy slate, speak volumes of the meticulous consideration given to both aesthetic appeal and day-to-day practicality. This is a yacht that treasures the lived-in experience, where life unfolds in an unpretentious setting of understated luxury.
At the heart of the main deck, the galley and saloon converge in an inviting expanse of space, where a long bank of plush sofas invites intimate gatherings and shared moments. The dining area eschews formality in favor of a cozy nook, equipped with a six-person table, reinforcing the yacht's ethos of familial warmth and inclusivity. This is where culinary experiences and social interaction blend seamlessly, creating a hub of activity that is both welcoming and refined.
Accommodation
Lady Fleur is equipped to comfortably welcome 10 guests into its lavish embrace, with a generous arrangement of five cabins designed to ensure every individual aboard enjoys the pinnacle of comfort and style.
Lady Fleur features a beautifully appointed full-beam owner's suite situated on the main deck, which is a sanctuary of tranquility, offering a his-and-hers bathroom that defines luxury at sea. The spacious layout is complemented by abundant natural light and a serene color palette that creates an airy and inviting ambiance. With a keen eye for detail, the suite offers ample wardrobe space and a sophisticated design that exudes an atmosphere of coming home.
Below deck, guests will find four additional cabins, meticulously crafted to provide the utmost in elegance and comfort. These guest cabins are thoughtfully designed with flexible accommodations, including two cabins with slide-together twin beds and two with double beds, ensuring suitability for a diverse range of family configurations. Each cabin boasts its own private bathroom, adorned with fine fixtures and finishes that reflect the yacht's overall commitment to excellence.
Lady Fleur also places a strong emphasis on the well-being of its crew, as their comfort directly translates to the quality of service provided on board. The crew quarters are generously proportioned, featuring a captain's cabin and additional bunks designed to accommodate a crew of four. The high standard of these quarters is a testament to the owner's hands-on approach and respect for the team that makes the voyage seamless and enjoyable.
Understanding that the crew's environment is integral to their performance, the accommodations have been designed to offer them a restful and private retreat. This attention to detail ensures that every aspect of Lady Fleur experience is delivered with the highest level of professionalism and personal care.
Performance & Capabilities
At the heart of Lady Fleur's unique design lies her mechanical prowess, a testament to Holterman Shipyard's commitment to engineering excellence. Lady Fleur is propelled by a pair of robust 750-horsepower Volvo Penta engines. While these engines may present a more reserved power profile than some high-speed yachts, they are meticulously chosen to fulfill the owner's vision of a vessel that prioritizes comfort, maneuverability, and range. The top speed of Lady Fleur is an elegant 15 knots, with a comfortable cruising pace of approximately 10 knots. This delivers an impressive range of 2,400 nautical miles, ensuring that this vessel can effortlessly conduct extended voyages, offering both the luxury of time and the breadth of horizon.
A notable mechanical feature is the rotatable steering nozzle around the propeller, which augments maneuverability by directing the thrust in a controlled manner, thus eliminating the need for a traditional rudder. This detail not only adds to the yacht's agility in various sea conditions but also enhances the efficiency of the propulsion system. By adjusting the propeller's position further aft, Holterman Shipyard has achieved a more horizontal shaft angle, contributing to the overall efficiency and stability of the Lady Fleur.
Safety and redundancy are paramount in the design of Lady Fleur, with duplicated systems across crucial components such as air conditioning, stabilizers, chargers, and water pumps. This ensures that a single system failure will not interrupt the guests' experience or the yacht's operation. Moreover, the electric stabilization system from Waveless Marine stands out for its advanced software capabilities, which not only improve stability but do so with minimal energy consumption and noise—qualities that one might call 'silent' in the world of luxury yachting.
The Lady Fleur's stabilizers are key to maintaining comfort aboard, as they significantly reduce the roll of the yacht, ensuring a tranquil environment for guests regardless of sea conditions. This feature is especially important for the varied activities that take place on the yacht, from leisurely swims in the innovative pool to the safe launch and retrieval of tenders and jet skis.
Amenities
The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Lady Fleur also features an inviting spread of sunpads.
