From The Manufacturer
When you step aboard the Hatteras 45 Convertible at a boat show or at your Hatteras dealer, one thing becomes abundantly clear.
Here, at last, is the ultimate warning to every fish in the world: your days are umbered.
The cockpit alone is evidence that you've got the fighting edge. It's huge for a 45 foot boat. At 132 square feet, it's bigger than the cockpits on boats up to 50 feet!
Big things and small, Hatteras ingenuity has gone to work on all of them.
An optional bait center beneath bulkhead window is designed for a clean, sculpted look that conceals tackle storage, sink, cutting board, and optional clutch and throttle controls. And they're all right where you want them.
A freestanding bait freezer, you ask? Certainly it's available - spacious, yet out of the way, beneath the teak and stainless flybridge ladder (Which we designed as far to port as possible to give you even more useable cockpit space).
Aft, a large removable fishwell is available for you (flush with the sole, to be handy yet out of the way), along with a circulating live baitwell. A wide transom door for landing the big ones is, as you'd expect, standard.
The large flybridge features a complete control station console and helm chair - with the extra seating you like built-in forward. All skillfully arranged to give you maximum visibility all around.
Like every Hatteras, she is quick. Stable. Maneuverable. In short, all the things the world expects of a Jack Hargrave-designed hull built in the Hatteras tradition.
And because she's a Hatteras, the 45 is sea sound.
The most important thing is that our electrical systems are so well engineered, they've become the technological standards by which others are judged. Which is another way of saying, they're Hatteras-designed.
It all adds up to everything you've wanted in a fishing machine, in one magnificent Hatteras.
