Antonini Navi presents adaptable Utility Platform 40 modular hull

Antonini Navi introduces the highly versatile Utility Platform 40 which can be used to construct either a motor yacht, crossover yacht or a sport explorer.

Brand new addition to the Gruppo Antonini, Antonini Navi is introducing the Utility Platform 40 (UP40) which can be adapted to construct three different types of displacement yacht.

A new arrival to luxury yachting, Antonini Navi, the superyacht specialists, have worked closely alongside known designer Fulvio De Simoni to create a multi-use modular steel platform which can be finished off according individual client requirements.

With multiple customisation options available for the UP40, it is reported the first unit has a 40-metre long steel displacement hull.

For Antonini Navi’s first project we decided to apply a construction method to steel superyachts previously used mainly for smaller fibreglass boats: we created a modular platform designed down to the tiniest detail, enabling us to start building the hull and choose the type and concept at a later stage, even half way through the construction process.

With all the boats having the same technical elements integrated in to the UP40 displacement hull, turnaround times for delivery can be up to 50% faster than other custom yachts for sale.

The Antonini Niva shipyard have stated strategies behind installing large fuel tanks and primarily focusing on efficiency at sea work towards giving an enhanced yachting experience. The promoted range for yachts with the UP40 hull is 5,000 nautical miles while travelling at 10 knots, with a top speed around 14 knots.

Owners can personalise their superyacht when construction is already underway, and not only the interiors but also, and most importantly, the functional type. The result? Maximum flexibility of choice but shorter delivery times, because the hull design and construction have already been completed.

The contemporary oceangoing concept designed by the award winning Fulvio De Simoni encompasses two uninterrupted linear main decks which are connected via a half deck, which houses the one helm station for the yacht.

Describing the 'highly complex procedures' entailed with creating the flexible UP40, Antonini Navi have stated that regardless of whether an owner chooses the motoryacht, crossover or sport explorer yacht, the end result will be luxurious but family friendly too.
