Arcadia begin construction on the brand new Sherpa XL

Preparing for the international debut at the 2019 Cannes Yachting Festival, the Sherpa XL is officially under construction at the Italian shipyard.

Following the successful launch of the Sherpa in 2016, the new Sherpa XL is a natural evolution of the previous vessel with further advancements of design elements, though still maintaining the charm and mannerisms of the Sherpa.

Engineering for the vessel is now complete and the on spec construction work has begun on the first unit.

Standing at 78 feet, the Sherpa XL promises to provide the same level of comfort and space you would come to expect on a larger 85 - 95 foot vessel.

Director of Arcadia Yachts, Ugo Pellegrino, says; "SHERPA XL retains all of ARCADIA’s fundamental brand values - comfort, performance, easy handling, eco-friendly technology and personalization options in terms of layout and décor."

The distinguishable feature of large exterior areas for Arcadia Yachts continues with the Sherpa XL starting with a large forward seating area, ideal for morning coffees or an evening with a good book.

Contrary to other flydeck layouts on vessels of the same size, the entire deck is dedicated to the comfort of the guests onboard. A generous sunlounge featuring a pantry and bar dominates the deck along with narrow bulwarks running alongside the cockpit. Getting close to the sea is made even easier for guests with windows which raise up and down at the touch of a button.

Investigating the interiors of the Sherpa XL, the finish is contemporary and effortlessly stylish. A mixture of furnishings and finishes are available for owners to choose, with all selections carefully chosen for their Made In Italy quality.

A three or four cabing layout is available, with the galley located either on the lower deck or on the bridge deck. The master suite boasts an impressive size of 22 square metres which extends into the bathroom. There are no divisions in the cabin making it very much like a home away from home. The VIP cabing, situated in the bow, follows the same concept of broadening spacial perception.

The Sherpa XL is capable of reaching top speeds of 22 knots with a comfortable cruising speed of 10 - 12 knots.
