September kicks off the European boat show season, starting with the Cannes Yachting Festival and concluding with the Monaco Yacht Show. These premier events showcase the latest yachts and boats, featuring world premieres, debut showings, sales highlights, and innovative designs in the yachting industry.
Cannes Yachting Festival 2024
The Cannes Yachting Festival marks the beginning of the 2024 European boat show season. As one of the largest and most prestigious events, it showcases a wide range of yachts and boats, from luxurious superyachts to innovative new models for sale.
Known for hosting world premieres of stunning new yachts and featuring upgraded returning favorites, the festival takes place across two major sites, Vieux Port and Port Canto. With over 700 boats and yachts on display, ranging from 5m to 50m (16ft to 164ft), its prominence as the first major show of the season makes it a crucial platform for unveiling new designs and forging key industry connections.
At the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, several exciting new models will make their world premiere. Among them is the innovative wallywhy100, a 'spaceship' yacht with a single flush deck and distinctive 'wowbow.' The festival will also debut the multi-award-winning 60 Sunreef Power. Additionally, Azimut will unveil the Seadeck 7, part of its hybrid series, featuring the unique 'fun island.'
Southampton International Boat Show 2024
Slightly overlapping with the Cannes Yachting Festival, the UK's Southampton International Boat Show opens on September 13, 2024, and runs for ten days at Mayflower Park, Europe’s largest purpose-built marina. Known for its relaxed atmosphere, the show features a diverse range of sub-30m (98ft) motorboats and yachts for sale, with around 600 global brands represented. Sunseeker will debut the Ocean 156 at the Southampton show and showcase yachts from its Predator, Superhawk, and Manhattan ranges, presenting ten models in total.
Genoa International Boat Show 2024
The 64th Genoa International Boat Show, known locally as the 'Salon Nautico Genova,' begins on September 19, 2024, and runs for five days. Set in the heart of Italy's rich yachting history, the show attracts over 118,000 visitors and hosts 1,000 exhibitors at its waterfront venue. This year, the event introduces the new Eastern Waterfront show area.
Italian yacht builder Cranchi will debut two new yachts for sale at the show: the Sessantasette 67 Corsa and the Sessantadue 62.
Monaco Yacht Show 2024
The 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, running from September 25 to 28, is the final boat show of the month. Set against the glamorous backdrop of Monaco, this exclusive four-day event highlights the most luxurious and innovative superyachts, tenders, and toys for sale. It attracts high-net-worth individuals, leading yacht builders, and designers from around the globe

The yacht also provides space for nine crew members, including a captain’s cabin.
ASANTE is the first in the series to be SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) ready, allowing for lower nitrogen oxide emissions.
While the Monaco Yacht Show is renowned for its superyachts for sale, it also features a range of luxury items that complement the superyacht lifestyle. In line with this, Italian builder Cranchi will showcase the A46 luxury tender at the 2024 show, offering an elegant and practical addition to the superyacht experience.
Yacht buyers are advised to contact their brokers and dealers before attending the show to maximize the benefits of their visit. Many yachts are available by appointment only, so booking viewings and sea trials in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment. The YachtBuyer site provides verified listings of boats and yachts for sale, and using the site’s comparison feature is recommended for making informed decisions before attending.
