Over 118,000 visitors and approximately 1,000 exhibitors are expected at the renowned Genova Boat Show, bringing the best of the yachting world to the Italian Riviera.
Genoa is the heart of Italy's yachting sector, steeped in a rich seafaring history and culture. The city has long been a symbol of excellence in global yacht production and continues to be the driving force behind the industry's development.
The first Genoa International Boat Show was held in 1962 and has since established itself as a fixture of the European yachting season.
Yachts at the Genoa International Boat Show
A highlight for the 2024 show is the new Eastern Waterfront, designed by the world-renowned architect Renzo Piano. This development adds over 100 new berths and an additional 5,000 square meters of land to the existing 200,000 square meters of exhibition space. With the new waterfront, the Genoa Boat Show can now accommodate over 1,100 yachts and more than 1,000 brands.
The event is a showcase of five distinct yet complementary 'salons', each with its own unique identity:
1. Yacht and Superyachts: This salon features the Catamaran Hub, the Super Boat Area for RIBs over 10 meters, and the Power Village dedicated to motorboat displays.
2. Boating Discovery: Here, the world’s leading brands in outboard packages and RIBs are on display. The nearby waterfront is entirely reserved for showcasing boats on the water, available for sea trials if booked in advance.
3. The Tech Trade: This area focuses on the latest innovations in navigation and equipment.
4. Sailing World: The key area for all things sailing, featuring the latest in sailing technology and design.
5. Living the Sea: This area hosts sea trials, sailing, and watersports activities, as well as presentations and award ceremonies. Visitors and industry professionals can also meet with maritime institutions, associations, and federations.
