With a unique approach to space planning and designs that challenge conventional ideas, British-based Evan K. Marshall has earned a strong reputation for the design of both Custom-built superyachts and production yachts.
Evan K. Marshall and his team work in an office based on the banks of the River Thames. New York born, Marshall is trained as both a naval architect and a land-based architect. He heads up a seven-strong team that also includes expert 3D modellers, interior designers and decorators.
Evan K. Marshall has been involved in some firsts in the yachting industry - notably, the first tri-level master stateroom featured on a yacht (Opus II) and the first series of production yachts with split-level master staterooms (PR Marine, Destiny Yachts & Millennium Super Yachts).
The design team has a close relationship with Taiwanese shipyard Ocean Alexander, and has worked on a number of production yachts in collaboration with the shipbuilder. The sleekly designed 90R, with its huge floor-to-ceiling windows and a deluxe glass-enclosed beach club, marks a real departure from the norm for the shipyard and has proved to be a popular addition to Ocean Alexander’s wide range of yachts for sale.
The studio has also worked on Custom superyachts, including the interiors of the 73m (239’) Trinity Yachts ‘Cocoa Bean’ and the 61m (200’) Benetti yacht 'Diamonds are Forever’. Evan and his team have also worked in collaboration with semi-custom builders from around the world, including Pearl, Hatteras and Broward Marine.
Mixing contemporary concepts with classic touches, Marshall’s designs range from the most grand and opulent to more minimal and warm - giving them a style that is very hard to pigeonhole and demonstrates an impressive range and diversity.
