Enigma is a 52m motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo in 2023. Her naval architecture and interior design comes from the drawing boards of Sanlorenzo, while Officina Italiana Design is responsible for her exterior design.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.35m beam and a 2.65m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the eighth yacht built on the 52Steel design. Launched in March 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was completed at Sanlorenzo's La Spezia yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in July 2023.

Exterior Design

A high-raked bow leads to an area reserved for anchoring and mooring hardware, leading to a spacious guest area with sun pads and U-shaped seating with a table. The sleek profile displays large banks of glazing that create a visual contrast against the white superstructure. The hull features several portholes ensuring the interiors are flooded with natural light.

At the stern, twin stairways descend to a short fixed bathing platform, and from here, the innovative beach club is accessed. This expansive waterside area is fully revealed by opening the large tender door and the side balconies, providing access on three sides; natural light floods in from above through the glass-bottomed pool on the main deck aft.

Occupying the same space as the beach club, the float-in tender garage on the Sanlorenzo 52Steel eliminates the need for separate areas, resulting in an impressively large beach club that can accommodate a much larger tender than usual, including the option for an 8m limousine tender. Once docked inside the yacht, guests are shielded from the elements, ensuring safe disembarkation.

At the top of the yacht, the sundeck boasts an array of amenities, including sun loungers, plush seating, a spacious dining table accommodating up to 12 guests, and a stylish bar. Shade is provided by the sleek black carbon canopy of the radar mast, elegantly raked backward.

Enigma is the eighth yacht in the successful Sanlorenzo 52 STEEL series.

Accommodation

Enigma offers accommodation for up to ten guests in five suites comprising an owner's cabin located on the main deck, two double cabins, and two twin cabins. Up to nine crew are onboard to ensure full guest service. 

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M63) 12-cylinder 1,900hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Enigma is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 55,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,400 nautical miles at an economic speed of 11 knots.
