Delivered in 2003, Forty Love is a 42.1m Sport Fisher yacht for sale built by American shipyard Westport Yachts. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of West Coast Custom Yachts, while Brilliant Yachts is responsible for her naval architecture.
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.61m beam and a 1.92m draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 231 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Forty Love underwent a remarkable transformation from her original design as a semi-built cored composite Westport 112ft semi-displacement two-deck-plus-sun-deck arrangement to a stunning three-plus -ly deck yacht with an aluminum superstructure. With three deck levels, including an enclosed bridge deck, a spacious sun deck, and a flybridge, the yacht was redesigned by renowned naval architects Jack Sarin and Michael Schutte.
Access to all decks is facilitated by external stairs starboard aft and the smart deck soles are crafted from Marine Deck 200, a sustainable cork composite material from Holland, offering an eco-friendly alternative to teak. The bridge deck features an al fresco dining area with an adjustable table and a full bar, providing seating for up to 12 guests. Twin staircases lead down to the beach club area, equipped with deck chairs and a hydraulic boarding platform for effortless boarding and watersport activities.
At the bow, a spa pool is centrally positioned, with a 13ft bowsprit providing a stable walkway. A clever cover over the spa pool rises on airlifts to offer shade when guests are in the tub. The anchoring windlass is discreetly covered by a box that doubles as steps to the bow walkway, which can also serve as a diving platform or a spot to experience the thrill of cruising alongside playful dolphins.
Forward of the pilot house, a large sun pad is integrated into a forward slope, while the storage space for tenders and toys transforms into a vibrant party deck when the watercraft are in use. The flybridge features four helm seats, offering excellent visibility and a sociable atmosphere in this elevated space.
Interior Design
The interior styling blends different woods to define the onboard spaces. Cabins feature light wood and cream accents, while the salon showcases a darker African cherry wood, complemented by ecru leather sofas and a light cream carpet.
Accommodation
Forty Love offers versatile accommodation with five to six cabins tailored to meet the needs of every guest group.
The expansive master suite spans the full width of the yacht and can be configured either as a spacious king-size cabin with twin bathrooms and a sitting area equipped with a sofa and desk, or divided into two separate cabins with independent entrances, each with its own en-suite bathroom.
Additionally, a queen bed stateroom is located to port, and a twin guest stateroom is to starboard, featuring a single bed and a bunk over a twin bed. The cabin layout is designed for flexibility, including two v-berth cabins on both port and starboard sides, where the twin beds can be easily converted into doubles if necessary. Each cabin boasts its own private en-suite for added comfort and convenience.
With a capable crew of up to nine members, the captain's cabin is to port; two crew cabins, one double and one with twin bunks, are on the boat deck, and the other two crew cabins, both with double bunks, are positioned close to the galley.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3412) 1,350hp engines, motor yacht Forty Love is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 36,336 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. Underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
