Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 9.17m beam and a 2.23m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 492 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
Construction started in late 2008. This was the seventh yacht built on the W164 design. Launched in June 2010 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2010.
Exterior Design
Night Howl's sun deck is equipped with an upper helm station, positioned forward of the Jacuzzi and several chairs. This area is designed for enjoyment, with the presence of a helipad and a full complement of toys including scooters and personal watercraft. There is further seating on the aft bridge deck.
The exterior lighting strategy is an area of particular attention, with a combination of halogen and LED lights used both inside and out to create dramatic effects. This includes strategically angled LEDs to illuminate the yacht's name on the transom, underscoring the owner's keen interest in lighting design.
In terms of color scheme, Night Howl boasts a white hull and superstructure, creating a cohesive and polished look that is both classic and striking. The boot top and areas below the waterline are finished in black, providing a sharp contrast that accentuates the yacht's lines and overall design.
Interior Design
On the main deck, a feeling of openness is facilitated by the absence of doors separating the dining area from the salon, and a wide entrance that welcomes guests into the foyer. The choice of a stylish, spiraling staircase over an elevator not only conserves space but also serves as a light conduit, enhancing the yacht's interior with natural illumination.
The foyer boasts marble and tile flooring. In the salon, the use of a dark brown couch set against a deep cream carpet invites relaxation, while a custom dining table surrounded by cream-tone leather chairs adds a touch of sophistication. The space is further enriched by a colorful abstract painting, the work of Landry's artists in residence, adding vibrancy and character.
In the galley, granite countertops are paired with big windows to create an inviting and open cooking area. A comfortable leather settee and bar stools around a cooking island offer the perfect spot for family and guests to gather.
The bridge is well-equipped, with changes specified by the owner to enhance usability and comfort. The settee has been curved and elevated, optimizing views and providing a welcoming space for those wishing to be close to the action of navigation.
The skylounge features another curvy couch, scattered with toss pillows, encouraging guests to unwind and enjoy the entertainment options available. Throughout the yacht, lighting plays a crucial role in setting the mood and enhancing the interior design. A combination of halogen and LED lights, carefully placed both inside and out, are used to dramatic effect, highlighting the yacht's architectural features and creating an inviting ambiance.
Accommodation
Night Howl offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in six suites. The layout includes a full-beam owner's suite on the main deck, which is notably equipped with an office space. The attention to detail extends to the suite's spacious bathroom, which features a unique TV set concealed by a painting above the tub, blending modern amenities with the yacht's stylish design elements.
Below the main deck, Night Howl houses four guest staterooms on the lower deck. These staterooms are designed with beautiful veneers, dark caramel tones, and beige carpets, accented by subtle touches of color that together create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each cabin comes with its own entertainment center, TV, and access to a full movie library, catering to the leisure needs of guests.
Additionally, the yacht features a signature bridge-deck VIP cabin with a private balcony, offering an elevated level of comfort and exclusivity. Like the other cabins, the VIP cabin is equipped with modern entertainment facilities and enjoys the same thoughtful design palette that characterizes the interior of Night Howl.
Night Howl is capable of carrying up to six crew onboard.
