Kokoro is a 36.3m motor yacht delivered by Dutch shipyard Moonen in 2021. The yacht's refined interiors have been crafted by Studio Indigo, while her exteriors have been penned by René van der Velden Yacht Design.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2.1m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 337 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2018 with the keel laid under the project name 'YN199'. This was the second yacht built on the Martinique 112 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in October 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in December 2020.

Exterior Design

Kokoro, the second yacht of the acclaimed Moonen122 Martinique range embodies remarkable fast displacement long-range capability. Crafted with a robust steel and aluminum build, Kokoro showcases wide-body and high-volume spaces, accentuated by ample railings and wide companionways.

The bow's high, rounded design leads to a functional teak foredeck with prominent guardrails, while open fairleads add visual interest to the pristine white hull. Portholes on the lower deck ensure abundant natural light within the interior. The stern boasts a deep bathing platform accessible from the main deck aft by twin staircases, equipped with integrated shell doors for easy watercraft access.

On the main deck aft, guests enjoy al fresco dining alongside banquette seating and built-in cabinetry for guest service. The upper deck offers an expansive guest area. There is tender storage with a launching crane on the aft deck.

A sleek black bootstrap defines the water's edge, while atop the yacht, banquette seating forms the sun deck aft beam, facing a raised circular jacuzzi tub with teak steps. The canopy of the radar mast, supported by sleek black columns, offers shade for guest comfort. Stairway access to the deck below is provided on the port quarter.

Adding interest to the profile, a smart grill feature is positioned just aft of the nameplate on the upper deck level.

“I have always wanted a Moonen. It’s in fact a smaller size yacht, but can easily compare with the largest size yachts in the world quality and style wise. This yacht gives me and my family so much room for relaxing and enjoying the water.”

Interior Design

The main salon of Kokoro exudes an inviting atmosphere, with soft neutral colors complemented by sea green accents and cushions in soft mustard and dark ocean blue. Giorgetti-designed Progetti armchairs rest atop gently patterned rugs, while driftwood on a mosaic wall adds a beach club vibe, inviting guests to relax into comfortable settees.

Atolli table lamps and French Horn wall lights cast a warm glow over cabins adorned with horizontally grained wood panels. Neutral tones with hints of grey/blue and gold accents add texture and interest to the space.
