Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.14m beam and a 1.72m draft. The yacht is built over 1 decks with an internal volume of 109 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the eighteenth yacht built on the A85 design. Launched in October 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
At the stern, the Motek features a hi-lo platform, a hallmark of versatility, where the tender resides. In tandem, there's an ingeniously designed garage tucked behind, capable of storing a jet ski and deploying it with ease into the water via a beam crane system. This clever utilization of space ensures that leisure and function coexist without compromise.
The yacht's main deck is a masterstroke of single-level living, where the boundaries between indoors and outdoors blur. The aft deck is a welcoming social hub akin to a beach club, with a sprawling layout that leverages the yacht's full beam. Here, guests can lounge, converse, and enjoy the open air, with a docking station and integrated controls for the Passerelle and swim platform adding to the convenience.
As you transition under the hardtop, which provides ample shade without sacrificing the open-sided design, you encounter an area that is adaptable to the elements. Blinds can be lowered for privacy or shade, yet when retracted, they invite the outside world in, creating a seamless flow through the entire deck.
The yacht's use of solar panels is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, contributing to the yacht's power needs while highlighting the vessel's commitment to sustainability. The soaring ceiling height amplifies the feeling of spaciousness, further enhanced by the abundance of natural light.
Moving forward, the harmonious flow continues with an alfresco dining area, thoughtfully positioned between the outdoor lounge and the interior spaces. Dual side doors ensure easy access to and from the side decks, while the open-plan layout invites guests to meander through to the galley and beyond.
Interior Design
The interior space is characterized by a harmonious blend of light woods and pale finishes, enhancing the sense of spaciousness and contemporary luxury. The yacht's open-plan layout ensures seamless flow and connectivity, epitomizing the concept of single-level living where comfort and elegance coexist.
The main saloon is a triumph of light and volume, with soaring ceilings that defy the typical yacht interior. Solar panels embedded in the roof not only harness sustainable energy but also contribute to the yacht's innovative design. The intelligent use of blinds allows for a transformation of the space from a sun-drenched haven to a more intimate, shaded retreat.
The galley further exemplifies Motek's commitment to openness and flow. Equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and ample storage, it features a retractable bulkhead that can be adjusted based on the desired level of interaction between guests and the culinary activities. Side doors adjacent to the galley enhance the indoor-outdoor connection, allowing for a refreshing breeze and easy access to the yacht's exterior.
Venturing forward on the main deck, the bridge emerges as a futuristic command center, with flush-mounted controls and an impressive array of multifunction displays. The helm is outfitted with sleek, ergonomic seats and a striking carbon fiber wheel, all under the watchful eye of the expansive solar panel roof.
Accommodation
Motek provides a haven of comfort and style for up to 8 guests, who can be accommodated across 4 beautifully appointed suites.
At the heart of the guest experience is the owner's cabin, a spacious and elegantly designed master suite that affords a sense of serenity and privacy. The expansive space is not only a testament to the yacht's clever design but also its dedication to offering unrivaled comfort. The owner's suite features a luxurious bed, a dedicated dressing table, and ample wardrobe space, ensuring guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay. The en-suite facilities include a bidet, a toilet, and a large shower that continues the theme of spaciousness and light.
Guests will also find a VIP cabin that exudes a similar level of luxury and attention to detail. With light woods and pale finishes, the VIP suite provides a tranquil space for relaxation. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a sink, shower, and separate toilet and bidet, giving guests a private and elegant space to refresh.
Additionally, two twin guest cabins ensure that each passenger has their own personal retreat. Both cabins boast an exceptional amount of headroom and come with en-suite facilities that include showers, adding to the overall sense of luxury and privacy.
To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience, Motek can accommodate up to 4 crew members in two cabins, each with en-suite facilities. The crew accommodations are designed to offer comfort and convenience, allowing the team to provide impeccable service and ensure that every aspect of the yacht is running smoothly.
Performance & Capabilities
Motek's engine room houses a pair of robust MAN i6-730 engines, each delivering a formidable 730 horsepower at a peak rotational speed of 2300 revolutions per minute. These diesel-powered engines are renowned for their reliability and power, ensuring that Motek is equipped to tackle the open seas with confidence and grace.
The engineering ingenuity of Motek allows her to achieve an impressive top speed of 15 knots, which is quite remarkable for a yacht of her size and stature. This swift top speed makes her well-suited for those who appreciate the blend of luxurious comfort and the thrill of a swift ocean passage. For those who prefer a more leisurely voyage, Motek cruises comfortably at 12 knots, offering a serene and smooth sailing experience that is both enjoyable and efficient.
One of the most noteworthy features of Motek's performance is her commendable range. Thanks to the substantial capacity of her fuel tanks, which can hold up to 9,300 liters of diesel, she boasts a maximum range of 1,500 nautical miles when set at her cruising speed. This range is a testament to her long-distance cruising capabilities, making her an ideal choice for extended voyages and adventures across the seas.
Furthermore, Motek is equipped with state-of-the-art stabilization systems that ensure a steady and comfortable ride, even in less than ideal sea conditions. These systems are pivotal in enhancing the onboard experience, minimizing the roll of the yacht and providing guests with the utmost comfort throughout their journey.
