Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement aluminium hull and a carbon fibre superstructure she features a 10m beam and a 4.5m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 282 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in April 2023.
Exterior Design
The deck of Nilaya is laid with teak, known for its resilience, and non-slip properties. The hull's navy blue is contrasted with a white boot top, creating a visually appealing delineation between the yacht and the water's surface. Below the waterline, the navy blue color is maintained, providing a cohesive and streamlined appearance. The plumb bow shape contributes to the yacht's efficient movement through the water, enhancing hydrodynamic efficiency.
The yacht’s stern is notably broad, featuring a beach platform that serves dual purposes: it welcomes guests aboard with a wide stair and facilitates the launching of the crew tender when raised. This area is equipped with sun loungers on both port and starboard sides, complemented by a neatly tailored sofa facing the stairs, offering a comfortable outdoor relaxation spot.
Ascending further, the dual helm stations are positioned widely to port and starboard, ensuring optimal navigation control. The area forward of these stations is designed with guest comfort in mind, featuring additional sun loungers, tables, banquettes, and loose seating, all sheltered under a carbon hardtop Bimini.
The dining arrangement can be expanded to accommodate up to 14 guests, indicating the yacht’s capability to host large gatherings. The chaise loungers are adjustable up to 30 degrees, catering to guest comfort by compensating for the yacht’s heel during sailing. The guest cockpit is protected by a carbon composite hardtop with windows that can be closed for weather protection.
Interior Design
The main salon features a spacious dining area that caters to guests with ample seating. On the opposite side, the salon offers a comfortable lounge with both fixed and loose furniture, allowing for flexible configuration based on the number of guests and the nature of the gathering. Large windows encircle nearly the entirety of the salon, affording guests with panoramic views and enhancing the open feel of the space.
A notable feature within the salon is a concealed pantry, designed to minimize visual clutter and maximize efficiency. When not in use, appliances such as a coffee machine, wine cooler, icemaker, fridge, and sink retreat behind panels or into drawers, streamlining the transition from leisure to sailing mode.
Adjacent to the salon, a dedicated TV lounge presents a more casual setting for entertainment and relaxation. Sofas and bookshelves create an inviting environment for guests to enjoy film screenings or leisurely reading sessions. White lacquered panels detailed with grooves create a bright and airy atmosphere throughout.
The helm stations are strategically positioned to afford optimal visibility to the bow, with careful consideration given to the layout and proportions to ensure ease of maneuverability.
Accommodation
Nilaya is designed to cater to up to eight guests, accommodated in four well-appointed cabins, including a full-beam owner's suite, a VIP cabin, and two additional guest cabins.
The owner's suite, situated at the forward section of the yacht, features a king-sized bed, a walk-in closet, an office, seating areas, and large hull windows that allow for ample natural light, enhancing the spaciousness of the room. Despite its location beneath the tender bay, the cabin's design cleverly balances the space with higher side passages, maximizing the cabin's width and headroom.
The VIP cabin offers flexible sleeping arrangements with the option to set up twin berths or a double bed, catering to the specific needs of guests. Aft of the main salon, two symmetrical guest cabins can be found, each capable of converting from twin to double cabin configurations. These cabins are also equipped with additional Pullman beds. Each cabin features en-suite facilities and is designed to mirror the yacht's overarching theme of bright and fresh interiors, with white lacquered panels and mahogany accents.
For the crew, Nilaya offers four double cabins located aft of the main salon.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 1 x diesel Scania (DI 16) 188hp engines, motor yacht Nilaya is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots.
